Overall Yes, but can't help but compare this to...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I have purchased an Apple Pencil, I am using it primarily for taking notes on a 4th Gen iPad Air, but with the intention of improving some artistic abilities especially with horticultural illustrations and drawings. It works very well. But, let's compare a situation here: My husband recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, which included the S-Pen with that tablet. Why can't Apple include the Pencil with the purchase of some of their higher-tier iPads? Or at least offer a substantial discount to customers on the Pencil when purchasing an iPad? I like Apple devices, and I have used iPads since the beginning, but the way Apple has to squeeze every dollar out of their customers for their accessories by either charging outrageous and obscene prices for their accessories (such as the Magic Folio Keyboards for iPads), or by not including what can be considered basic accessories with the purchase of their devices, (such as the Apple Pencil) is frustrating at times. I realize Apple's devices and accessories work very well together, and I could have purchased an Apple Pencil stylus knock-off such as the Logitech Crayon, or any other options, but I decided to go for the Apple Pencil when the price dropped below $80 (almost 40% off the regular price), so I could utilize all the features without compromising any features of the Apple Pencil. At Best I can give Best Buy kudos for this being that BB's prices on many Apple devices and either Apple or non-Apple accessories has allowed me to save a good amount of $$$ over many years, so there's a flying unicorn covered with purdy glitter somewhere in this whole situation. 5-Stars on the overall experience and how well it works, but I'm reducing the rating to 4-Stars only because Apple should either include the Pencil when purchasing an iPad, or at least offer a decent discount on a Pencil with initial iPad purchase. I realize I will get many negative reactions from this, but this is how I see the reality of the consumer situation when I purchase anything and compare it to the competition.

smooth to use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Connectivity, battery charge durable and it's very smooth to use, detect perfectly your movements. The only bad thing is the price, I think is a little expensive for a pen.

Forced to buy with new iPad Air but like better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No issues with the past Apple Pencil but it doesn’t work with our new iPad Air. Just as easy to use and works great for drawing. Amazing how realistic it is drawing, painting, etc. I do like how it charges on the iPad without a cap and adapter that was problematic trying not to loose the cap or adapter on the original Apple Pencil. This latest version has not loose parts, the pencil just sits on top of the iPad ready for use when needed which ultimately gets used more as a result. Family is happy with this and it gets more use than ever. As with all Apple items they cost you, we got on sale and are happy about that.

A must-have accessory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) has completely transformed how I use my iPad. It feels incredibly natural in hand—with smooth, accurate responsiveness that makes writing, drawing, and navigating feel effortless. Whether I’m taking notes, sketching ideas, or marking up documents, it’s precise and reliable every time. I love the magnetic attach-and-charge feature. It makes storing and charging so easy—no cables, no fumbling. The double-tap gesture is surprisingly helpful too; switching between tools feels intuitive and seamless. The build quality is solid, and the design fits beautifully with my iPad. If you’re serious about creativity, productivity, or just want a better way to interact with your screen, this Apple Pencil is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Great for Sketching
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my wife after I’ve been using my own for the past 5 years. She’s loving it. Awesome product that’s extremely responsive, charges fast and the battery lasts a pretty long time. You can treat it like a traditional pencil in that it’s pretty tough but the tip is really sensitive and can get damaged if it falls directly on the tip. If you love sketching then definitely try the Apple Pencil with Paperlike.

Apple Pencil review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Ipad air for my daughter who is in chiropractic school and this apple pencil and it has been such a hit. The apple pen feels like a regular pencil and I really like how it is only able to connect to your ipad meaning no one elses pen could write on your ipad. It is super light and my daughter likes how you just have to place the pen near the side of the ipad (its magnetic) and that is how it charges which is so much more convenient than having to lug around another charger cord. I highly recommend anyone who purchases an Ipad get an apple pencil as well.

This is an Apple Pencil (2nd Generation)
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You want to write on your iPad so bad, but all you have are plebeian, normal pencils. We’ve all been there. Fret not, because now there is a pencil worthy of your iPad. The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation). Less round than the previous iteration, the Apple Pencil magnets neatly to the side of your iPad. But it’s not just for looks. It charges while it’s there. Next level Apple engineering. Oh, also you can write on your iPad.

Easy to use and setup
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil (2nd generation) is a fantastic tool that brings a new level of precision and ease to digital drawing and note-taking. The sleek design and magnetic charging feature are standout improvements over its predecessor. The pencil pairs seamlessly with the iPad, making it incredibly convenient to use right out of the box. The responsiveness and accuracy are top-notch, whether you’re sketching, shading, or simply jotting down notes. The ability to double-tap to switch tools is a game-changer, adding a level of efficiency that’s hard to overlook.

Worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the weight and quality feel. Great minimalistic look. Can’t go wrong with it. Worth getting if you do any type of arts and crafts on your tablet that requires it.

Fantastic in every way
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only recently found out that I can use the iPad Pro as a graphics tablet for the MacBook. However, you can’t use your fingers on the screen when you do this. You absolutely have to use the pencil as a mouse for the iPad in such mode. And it’s soooooooooo amazing. I’ve bought this pencil I think 4 times over the years because I could NOT have an iPad without it. I’ve illustrated in Fresco, Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint for about 2 years now. I’ve most recently started using it as a sculpting tablet in Blender 3D and IVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER. A year and half learning 3D programs and I finally got to use a graphics tablet to sculpt for the first time thanks to the Apple Pencil!! It’s literally like drawing on paper. I’ve noticed you can replace the tips when they wear out. Heads up, I’ve never once had to do that. They last FOREVER

2nd Gen Apple Pen
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a 2nd Gen Apple Pen and after having it for a couple of months I can say I really do like it. The pen is always charged since it’s connected to my IPad when not in use. The quality is great. It’s comfortable to use. I use it for work everyday and it has not given me any issues.

Incredible tool, easily mixed up with other's
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The apple pencil 2 was a huge upgrade from the 1st gen apple pencil. the battery is great, the wireless charging on the side of the ipad does away with the flimsy scary lightning plug, and the pencil is incredibly sensitive. There are things you can do with the pencil that I would never dream you would be able to do on a tablet. The different pressure sensitivities, the ability to use different angles on the tip to get different line styles, and the tap feature allows me to quickly switch between tools to be able to keep working with fewer slow downs. The only gripe would be that they only come in one color, so to be able to tell multiple people's pencils apart you either have to spend money on an aftermarket skin, or deface your property to be able to discern the difference.

A must for note-taking
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The apple pencil 2nd gen is compatible and works perfect with this iPad. Seriously, if you are planning to take notes on your iPad, this pencil is a must. A life changer! I would recommend to download the app GoodNotes and also purchase a paper-like screen protecter with extra tips that are pen-like. All of these will enhance your note-taking experience immensely. Not sure how other off-brand Amazon pencils compare to this one. I bought this one to easily charge my pencil by sticking it next to the iPad. No worries when it comes to that. I’m hoping there are no major issues with this pencil since I bought it here on Amazon! Will update if there is any.

Worthy upgrade from Apple Pencil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good: -Smoother writing -Charging is done on the side of iPad and not through lightning -Shorter and more compact -Double tap setting is very convenient to go from writing to erasing -Battery Charges seems about the same as version 1 The Bad: -No extra tip -Not cheap The Bottom Line: If you have a new iPad, then you should definitely get the Apple Pencil 2 since the writing is smoother and the charging is much easier by snapping it to the side of the iPad. While the Pencil isn’t cheap, it does work very well and I can’t imagine taking notes any other way. Overall I would recommend.

Very nice addition to note taking and sketches
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple nailed it with this second generation Apple Pencil. The responsiveness is flawless. The way it attaches magnetically to my latest generation iPad Air is slick and makes it very easy to charge without it hanging out of the Lightning port like the previous generation. It works great for taking notes or drawing as the iPad detects when you hold the Pencil at an angle for thicker strokes. It feels great in the hand and lays on a flat surface when you need to set it down. Well done

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love my iPencil. Can’t imagine using my iPad Pro to it’s highest potential without this product! Very satisfied. Product works as described and quality is good. Holds charge as it says it should. Fits in many different iPad cases. Only downfall is tips are sensitive and break easily if pencil is dropped. Wish they would sell it out extra tips. I learned the hard way, to buy extra tips when I dropped it at work and my pencil tip got smooshed. Otherwise overall satisfied.

Highly recommended accessory for iPad Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to not buy the Apple Pencil for as long as possible, but I ultimately needed it for work (note-taking/designing figures) and bought the Apple Pencil 2. I previously owned the 10.5 inch iPad Pro and the 1st generation Apple Pencil and comparatively, the design changes have their pros and cons. In terms of the cons, I think the Apple Pencil 1 is a little thicker than the 2. For someone with larger hands, it actually was more comfortable holding the 1 than the 2. If I'm doing a lot with the Apple Pencil 2 for a long period of time, my hand cramps up more quickly than when I used the 1. As for the pros, I have to say that the magnetic connection and wireless charging features are what ultimately makes the 2 worth buying. I've misplaced the charging dongle of my Apple Pencil 1 many times and also the pencil itself. I also have brought out the 1 only to find that the battery is dead many times. Being able to attach the Apple Pencil 2 to the iPad has been such a huge improvement in my usage. So, if you do a lot of note-taking, drawing or photo editing, you can't go wrong with the Apple Pencil 2, especially with the new features.
