I purchased this Apple Pencil (2nd gen) along with the IPad Air (5th gen). They work fantastic together. The magnetic attachment feature is excellent. With the case I purchased I never worry about losing the Pencil. It stays charged and ready to use at a moment’s notice. It fits really well in my hand. It feels natural. I write fast and a little sloppy but it knows exactly what I’m writing and makes it look neat. I use a screen protector on my IPad Air. It doesn’t affect the response of the Pencil at all. I’m definitely going to have to watch some videos so I can use them to their utmost potential. I’m happy with this purchase especially since I was able to get both it and the IPad Air on sale at Best Buy.

At first glance, you probably think, "Yeah, it's just a stylus for a tablet, big deal." Yes, yes it is. But is't also the best stylus I've ever used, and that includes Apple's previous generation pencil. I don't miss having to jack it into the lightning port, or dig around in the junk drawer for the adaptor. Just clipping it onto my iPad Pro and charging it works flawlessly. (I usually set my iPad Pro in a stand with the charging side up at night, then just snap the pencil on. Easy-peasy.
It feels good in the hand, and the double-tap feature is handy for switching tools. My only gripe is that it would feel more natural to flip it over and use the other end, but so be it. A day or to and I got used to the motion, though occasionally I overdo it.
If you need a stylus for an iPad that supports this version, spend the extra money and just go with it. My spouse has had one for about a year now, and also loves it.

Looks better

Upgraded to the newer iPad models.
The new Pencil looks and feels better in the hand.
It now charges when it magnetically attaches to the new iPad.
It’s nice but it also feels less durable than the previous model.
It will not survive a drop from a table onto a hard floor.
Also the double tap gesture takes time to get use to because it can accidentally be triggered. It means you have to be aware of how your holdiing it and that’s annoying.
Not sure why it costs 30 bucks more than last model.
It works great but so did the last one.

I was skeptical whether I needed an Apple Pencil for my new Ipad Air. But I made the purchase and so glad I did. The Apple Pencil works so well with an Ipad. So many apps to use it with. Note taking is more fun. Plus you an draw with it.

I always upgrade to the next best thing when Apple puts out anything new. This pencil works so much better than the first one and I love that it no longer has the cap to charge it. I used to always lose that! I also love that it sticks magnetically to your iPad—I’m all about convenience.

Connects seamlessly/automatically. Charges automatically. Feels like a natural pen. Works exactly like I expected it to work. Now I can use my iPad Pro like a notepad of paper, laptop, and tablet. Easily sign documents without having to print and scan. Markup documents. It's a bit expensive, but does what I need and just plain works.

Long battery life. I love how it has the capability to produce more depth with how much tension and pressure you apply to your strokes or writing. Technology has come a long way! Don’t like how the tip can be unscrewed, caught my 4 year old messing with the tip. A little pricey for a stylus

Even if not for serious artists, having the pen makes iPad easier to use overall. It isn’t the best for typing, but it adds a new layer of dexterity when doing crosswords or skimming documents. Stays charged and pairs instantly. My dog chewed up my first one so I immediately bought another. Make sure you get the one that matches your iPad, though: there are a lot of versions available now and they don’t work with every model.

The double-tap functionality allows for easy switching between tools, enhancing productivity for artists and note-takers alike. The magnetic attachment ensures convenient charging and storage. With minimal lag and impressive pressure sensitivity, it feels remarkably intuitive. While it comes at a premium price, the performance and features make it an essential tool for creatives and professionals.

On my previous iPad (6th gen) I didn’t see the point behind an expensive Apple Pencil that I looked at as a fancy stylus when cheaper and adequate options were available so I never considered it. When I got my iPad Pro 11 (2nd gen) and Apple Pencil 2 I was prepared to still have the same mindset but I can admit when I’m wrong. The pencil is so much more intuitive than other options, even for someone like me. Definitely worth having. I also like that you don’t have to plug it into anything go charge...just attach to the iPad when not in use and it’s ready whenever you are. If you would only use it as a stylus (no note taking, drawing, etc) then yes, there are definitely some great options out there that would save you some cash, but if you’re someone that will be taking advantage of all that your iPad Pro has to offer then I definitely recommend getting this. Too soon to speak on how long the tip lasts but if you anticipate being a heavy user I would suggest getting the replacement tips so that you can have them on hand.

The Apple Pencil is a game changer for the iPad . I have the iPad Pro 11 “ and this is a complete difference maker . For me at least . I love how it connects magnetically and it charges from the iPad . The double tap feature to change from the pencil or eraser is super nice and easy . I love this . Great addition if you have the iPad . Makes writing a lot easier . Gives people who like art a chance to utilize the iPad pro for a great addition and feature as well .

What a difference from the original Apple Pencil. Love the fact it attaches magnetically to my new iPad and always maintains a 100% charge. Feels good in your hand. It’s very handy changing drawing tools as well using the double tap on the pencil. I’m very glad Apple got rid off that little top too!

Easy to use and navigate. Fits comfortably in my hand. I’m right handed with small hands. Battery lasts longer on it than my iPad and super easy to charge. I dropped my pencil once and the tip got a dent in it. Works on apps that aren’t for drawing.

I purchaed the Apple 2 pencil for my new ipad Air. Works seamlessly as one would expect. Charging continually due to magnetically attaching to your ipad unless you are using it. Don't bother with the cheaper model. Again, great product you expect from Apple.
