It’s a lot like writing with a real pencil. If you push harder the lines get darker and thicker. My only complaint is once in a while it will still let my palm make marks while I’m trying to write.

Nice Pencil

The only thing I don't like is that I can only charge it using the side of my iPad. The magnet holding it in place could be much stronger. If you bump it moderately by mistake it can go flying off. With the older pencil I could cable charge it if I didn't need it nearby.
