If you have an iPad that can use the 2nd generation Apple pencil, just buy it. No, it's not exactly like writing on paper, but with a bit of practice and the right app, you will realize it's actually better. You can write in multiple places and applications and your handwriting will turn into words. You can also do quick drawings, like the proverbial back of the napkin illustration, to keep and to share. If the price is a concern, consider the productivity you will get and watch for sales, I bought mine on sale.

I bought this as an open-box item (salesperson said it had been used as a demo) at my local Best Buy on Feb 26, 2019, and it’s still going strong. It’s been accidentally dropped 2-3 times and - based on reviews I had read - I was nervous each time that it wouldn’t work anymore, but I’ve had zero issues. It holds a charge well and does exactly as it’s supposed to. If I had to offer any critique, it’d be that the couple of times it did stop working was due to the tip being a bit loose/unscrewed from normal use. Now, I just tighten it out of habit, but definitely more than needed as it only happened a couple of times in the first few months. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the product and pleased with Best Buy on the reliability and condition of the item as an open-box sale.

    Apple Pencil (2nd Generation)

After buying an Apple iPad 11Pro a few months ago I had read about these pens and although I was already using a basic stylis, this Apple iPen is something special, and I’m yet to fully utilise all it’s features. The plug n play make starting to use is great, you simple BT it to your device then but placing it onto the side of the tablet the magnetic pull sits it in place easily where it begins charging (it was already about half charged out of the box). Each time my iPad grabs it for rest a charge % icon comes up on the screen and although it utilises the iPad batterie, it’s very quick and hardly bothers the iPad charge.

Not your average stylus.. it’s a digital pen that never runs out of ink. It is well made and has a good weight and feel in my hands. I have never used a stylus pen before, so this would be a very beginners review. So as far as first impressions, I am impressed. Disclaimer: I am an Apple user and a fan of the products I have purchased. But so far, I have not been disappointed. Working with this pen, using the Adobe drawing and design apps is basically working for me. The ease of charging it magnetically instead of plugging it on the side, is such an awesome design. Obviously, I like it, and recommend it. Stop in to Best Buy and try it out before you buy. If your getting the IPad Pro 2018 Model, it is a must companion to unlock the full potential that the IPad can offer.

Honestly not sure what I'm supposed to say. I've never used a pencil on an iPad that actually worked, guess that's something. Works very nicely with Fusion and Sketchup. Can even decipher my horrible handwriting using the iPad for taking notes. Very cool accessory that charges while docked via magnets. Quite happy after a month of use.

Recently picked up a 12.9" iPad pro. Absolutely gorgeous (haven't had an iPad since the 2nd/3rd Generation). As i'm working on transitioning from my Macbook Pro to the iPad pro for my photography, the apple pencil was a must. It's been awhile since i've used a stylus or anything like that...but, this was easy to catch onto. iOS had a nice tutorial on how to use the pencil. I love that you can double-touch the pencil while holding it, and it'll go to/revert to another function (which can be completely programmed). Writing with it and using it on the iPad is very nice. Reminds me of when i had a Wacom tablet, but I can honestly say that I like this more. A little on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion.

This pencil does everything id want. It magentically charges on the ipad, making sure its always ready to go. The battery life is incredibly good, meaning youll never run out of charge. While using it you can precisely write/draw, even as far as pressure sensitivity and angle detection. Overall a great purchase.

Best addition to my 11 iPad Pro (2020) hands down. I love this thing and constantly use it. I used a surface pen before (on a surface pro) so it took adjusting. So minor. - I wish I could screenshot and write. (and maybe I can with the right app?) - I sometimes catch myself flipping it to erase like an idiot. - I adjust constantly when I write/draw. To the point double tap had to be disabled. However, I love the precision of this pencil and find a lot more creative outlets because of it. - So much lighter weight than it’s competition - Charges magnetically (no aaa battery to forget about) - So much more to do! (Apple ecosystem really supports the pencil) I love it.

This 2nd Gen Apple Pencil is a game-changer for my wife's art. She's been drawing digitally for years, and this thing's taken her work to a whole new level. The precision is insane, and she's all about that magnetic attachment and wireless charging—no more fumbling with cords. The double-tap feature to switch tools? Genius. If you're into digital art, you've gotta get your hands on one of these. It's a must-have, no doubt.

Apple is often criticised for high prices on their products. While this Apple Pencil does have a high price tag, it sure does pack the features. I bought this to pair with my iPad Air 2020 and it has worked flawlessly. It is light but sturdy and has many redeeming features. It also charges wirelessly so no more cables. A definite buy for anyone with a compatible device.

This is the best digital pencil I’ve yet to try. Basically zero latency which makes note taking or drawing just feel extremely natural. The wireless charging and magnetic attachment to the IPad are very nice touches as well!

I used this for a few weeks by itself on just the plain iPad Air screen. It works reasonably well and gives some great new ways to use your iPad. But I recently purchased a PaperLike screen protector and now it is an AWESOME experience! Feels pretty much like writing or drawing on paper which gives you more precision and honestly just feels better (it’s less slick). It’s been great for taking notes and drawing some quick sketches of the software I’m designing, so I feel like I get a lot of use out of it, even though I’m not an artist. I also love how it magnetically attaches to the iPad and charges. I know people complained about having to plug in the first one.
