Improvement over Gen 1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the original Apple Pencil but didn’t really use it a lot. Partially because I didn’t have an application I used often for it and because it was something I would need to remember to bring. With the new iPad Pro and the new Apple Pencil it is great that it charges wirelessly via magnets on the side. This allows me to take advantage of the Pencil. I do wish that I could allow the Pencil to be stuck on the top or bottom of the iPad though. When I’m reading in portrait mode the Pencil is in the way on the side of the device. I don’t want to put it down on the table as having it with the iPad is very handy. The responsiveness of the Pencil is as close as you can get to a real Pencil on any device today. I find myself using this to mark up PDFs and other documents for work which helps save on the amount of times I print. Price is a bit higher than I would have liked but so far it has been worth it.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is absolutely insane. I would absolutely recommend this pencil to any aspiring artist or current artist. It’s really cool because you can tilt it to the side to create thicker strokes and double tap the pencil for eraser toggles. Would absolutely recommended for anyone into drawing. The charging is really great too. It literally just magnetizes to the side of the iPad and you don’t even need to think about it.

What's this for again?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why the heck did I buy this thing? I have no use for it but I figured I'd give it a shot. Honestly I don't even know where I put it. Save your money, skip this purchase. I gave it 4 stars because I don't have a reason to give it anything less or more. It's an Apple product so it's well designed. The few minutes I used it during set up, it was neat so yeah, maybe 4 stars because of that? Other than that, the majority of us won't have much use for it. Heck I dunno, maybe buy it and play around with it. Maybe you'll love it or maybe it'll be meh.

I find I use it all the time.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I purchased my new iPad I mistakenly thought I could use my original Apple Pencil. Nope! Time to give Apple more money since they don't have enough. It is much easier to use than the original Apple Pencil. It is nice that it can charge wirelessly and does not need to be plugged into the charge port on the iPad. The price went up from the first pencil. It's Apple after all. I do recommend it and I use it 90% of the time I am on my iPad so I guess it was worth it.

Perfect accessory for the 4th Generation iPad Pro.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect pencil, pen, highlighter, paint brush, etc. I use it in conjunction with the 4th Gen 12.9” iPad Pro. Massive improvement from the 1st gen pencil, if only for the method of charging. One Does not have to stick it in the charging port, fretting that its going to break off..It’s magnetically attracted to the side and charges via magnetic field, or so they say... I’m pretty sure it is reverse technology from Roswell..:) J. Coulson

This is great.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pen is so lightweight and fluid and with the latest iPadOS 14 update, I can’t see how it could get that much better. I came from a MS Surface and the pen is $30 cheaper but DOES give this one a run for it’s money. Specifically the eraser being on the other side on of the pencil. I will say though in practice, the double tap feature of erasing on the Apple Pencil feels great when drawing. 2 weeks in and I don’t see myself returning this. Lol

Pencil is pretty good but eraser needs work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pencil is awesome because it allows me to easily write in legible notes and annotations in music as well as write for education purposes. I wish it had an eraser feature though where i could flip the pencil around and just erase like normal... while i do appreciate the double tap on the side of the pencil for the eraser option, i would use the pencil normally and the pencil would randomly change to the eraser option because the pencil is very sensitive to touch... i would give this product 5 stars only if the apple pencil had a fixed eraser mechanism or one like a regular pencil. Oh also this pencil is way too overpriced... like this pencil should've been maybe at the most $40 but it was a hefty $130... like it is just a pencil.

Like it better than the old one
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I basically updated my stuff, I had an iPad Pro 1st gen with and Apple Pencil. What I like about this new version is the ease of charging, since it doesn’t connect to the USB c port and attaches to the iPad magnetically is so much better to carry it around

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this apple pencil, easy to use and pair, easy to charge with the case I got that has a space for it (magnetic). Nice and heavy but not too much, perfect, accurate and easy to hold. Great product especially at the price its at.

Does the job
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not cheap and I do wish it was a little less slick feeling. However, this is the ultimate iPad companion, I would not use an iPad without one. I did try some generics from Amazon, just get the Apple, its much better.....

The pen in incredible, but the price.......
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to admit that this pen is awesome. For drawing, you can create amazing detail and the writing is remarkably smooth. It does definitely perform better than other non-Apple options. Plus, the charging improvements over the 1st generation are outstanding. Unfortunately it only works with the latest generation of iPads. But, the price is a tough pill to swallow. I wish it were cheaper, but I guess if you want the best quality, you have to pay for it.

Love this
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently gifted an ipad pro and knew that with so many features, having the pencil would greatly expand what my ipad could do. Its easy to use, easy to charge and has so many functions i havent even started to look into. I got an open box excellent condition and it looks and works like it is brand new.

Great update to the iPad Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the new Apple Pencil for the late 2018 iPad Pros. The surface on this one is more matte finish and less slippery than version 1. This one has a flat surface to keep it from rolling off the desk. It charges with inductive charging by magnetically attaching to the side of the iPad. Unfortunately it is more expert than version 1. Also, this version will not work on last years model and version 1 won’t work on the 2018 iPad Pros. Otherwise, this is a great update for the iPad pros.

Apple Sharpens Its Pencil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This version of the Apple Pencil brings some great improvements. The biggest change is that it magnetically snaps to the edge of the iPad for charging--so much better than awkwardly sticking it straight out of the Lightning port. It's a bit shorter and easier to hold. And the double-tap to switch drawing tools feature is cool, if maybe a little fiddly to make work at times. It does seem to lose its charge fairly quickly, but no worries...just snap it onto the side of the iPad to charge it back up!

Great upgrade from the 1st generation.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently upgraded my iPad setup and had to get the newer pencil. Super happy with the 2nd generation. Charging is easy and my battery is never low. The pencil itself is lighter compared to the 1st generation and easier to write with.

Great pencil
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slick way to enter data. Once I figured out the printing style needed, I have been very successful entering text by hand and having it converted to print. The pencil is artistically agile for drawing and editing. I'm glad I purchased the pencil. I wish it came with a clip so I can put it in my pocket without the fear of it falling out.
