I’m Pretty happy overall with this pencil. I love the fact that it is wireless charging, It’s always right there when you need it and I love the indented side on it so it gives a more realistic feel to a pencil. Only thing I don’t care for is it doesn’t have any way to add it to your Apple account so if he gets lost or stolen you’re just out the money other than that it’s great buy!

I recently bought an iPad Pro and happened to get the Apple Pencil while it was on sale. It definitely fits naturally with using the iPad and is essential if you plan to do any kind of drawing/editing. I'm still getting used to writing with it, but I'm sure with time it'll feel more natural. I like that it magnetically snaps to the iPad and charges without the need for plugs.

The pen I was skeptical on buying because I didn’t really think I would need or want it but I’m glad I got it. I bought mine refurbished so I could save some money and it was like new! Very good quality and the battery last a long time and if you get the brand that starts with an L case/keyboard it comes with a magnet strap so I won’t fall off easy. It is pricy for a pen but if you like to doodle or use the Notability app for notes I high recommend it.

The Apple Pencil works as flawlessly as one would imagine with the iPad. Pairing is instant and totally automatic and charging is a breeze. Being able to “write” text directly instead of using the keyboard may or may not be fun but I personally find it clunky, impractical and avoid it. The Apple Pencil is a must for digital artists and this is where it really shines. As it is very expensive (even on sale), if you don’t need this device specifically for creating digital art on an iPad and just need a stylus, there are way cheaper options out there!

I have to admit that this pen is awesome. For drawing, you can create amazing detail and the writing is remarkably smooth. It does definitely perform better than other non-Apple options. Plus, the charging improvements over the 1st generation are outstanding. Unfortunately it only works with the latest generation of iPads. But, the price is a tough pill to swallow. I wish it were cheaper, but I guess if you want the best quality, you have to pay for it.

It took me a while to get used to this, but with the addition of the PaperLike screen protector, it's become a very handy note taker. The battery life of the pencil is very good. One thing I did encounter, though, and I haven't seen anyone else mention this. My Pencil stopped working once, and after unpairing and re-paring it, it still wouldn't work. I noticed that the tip had pulled a little bit out of the pen, and when I twisted/pushed it back in, all was well again. Something to watch for if you start having issues. But other than that, I'm happy with this purchase.

Recently upgraded my iPad setup and had to get the newer pencil. Super happy with the 2nd generation. Charging is easy and my battery is never low. The pencil itself is lighter compared to the 1st generation and easier to write with.

Best Buy has consistently exceeded my expectations with its incredible service and high-quality products. My most recent visit was no exception. From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who genuinely seemed excited to help. What impressed me most was how seamless the entire shopping experience was. I was looking for a new laptop for work, and the associate I spoke with went above and beyond to guide me through the options, taking the time to understand my needs and budget. They recommended the perfect device—a [insert product name]—which has been an absolute game-changer for my productivity. The checkout process was quick and easy, and I loved how they explained the benefits of the Geek Squad Protection Plan without being pushy. It felt like they truly cared about ensuring I had the best long-term experience with my purchase. I also appreciate the clean, well-organized layout of the store. Everything was easy to find, and the displays were inviting and interactive, which made comparing products a breeze. To top it all off, I received a follow-up email thanking me for my purchase, which shows Best Buy values its customers even after the sale. I highly recommend Best Buy to anyone looking for top-notch electronics and outstanding service. It’s rare to find a retailer that consistently delivers on quality, convenience, and care, but Best Buy does it all. I’m a lifelong customer now! This review is customer-focused, specific, and emphasizes why Best Buy is an excellent choice, making it a strong contender for a prize-winning entry. Let me know if you want to tweak it further!

Great update to the iPad Pro

This is the new Apple Pencil for the late 2018 iPad Pros. The surface on this one is more matte finish and less slippery than version 1. This one has a flat surface to keep it from rolling off the desk. It charges with inductive charging by magnetically attaching to the side of the iPad. Unfortunately it is more expert than version 1. Also, this version will not work on last years model and version 1 won’t work on the 2018 iPad Pros. Otherwise, this is a great update for the iPad pros.

I like Apple products. It’s just done right. This pencil is a great improvement over the first one. And the first one was not bad. The control with different apps is impressive. I use it to take notes at work and make fast drawings. I will use it to make drawings for customer schools that I teach for our company. I like the ability to put a fast charge on it. The magnet charging on the iPad Pro is really cool.

    Apple Sharpens Its Pencil

This version of the Apple Pencil brings some great improvements. The biggest change is that it magnetically snaps to the edge of the iPad for charging--so much better than awkwardly sticking it straight out of the Lightning port. It's a bit shorter and easier to hold. And the double-tap to switch drawing tools feature is cool, if maybe a little fiddly to make work at times. It does seem to lose its charge fairly quickly, but no worries...just snap it onto the side of the iPad to charge it back up!

I love that this charges by sitting on top of the iPad. With the old pencil, I was constantly getting low battery warnings, and was always worried that I would damage the pencil or my ipad while charging it. (I lost the adapter after about four minutes). This one is always charged - and the iPad battery life is still impressive. I love the double tap to change between pen and eraser. I’m bummed that the second tip is no longer included, but overall, this is a great upgrade!

So smooth and really unlike any stylus you've ever used. If you are getting an iPad that does support this, you'll want to get it because literally nothing else can compare to it really. I think that if you don't need to write, then skip it because it is pricey but if you know you're going to be writing a lot, drawing, jotting notes in e-books etc, then don't hesitate and just get one. You won't regret it..
