Very smooth
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this on my iPad Pro 12.9” version, it works great, I love drawing and making stuff in procreate and using it to write notes, it charges very fast and is pretty seemless. If you’re in the market for one, you forreal can’t go wrong. The only issue is you may have to turn the tap to change function off, with regular use it was constantly changing back and fourth between drawing tools, and it gets quite annoying. But overall, really good

Not too shabby
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works exactly as advertised. I am a professional artist, and I happen to have both a Lenovo Yoga All-in-One and the iPad Pro, so I thought I'd do some compare and contrasts with their individual pens. The Apple pencil acts almost identically to the flow of an actual pen/brush—comparable to my experience to a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet. The Lenovo pen is a little less sensitive and takes some practice to get used to how it flows. The Apple pencil was very easy to set up; whereas I am still having trouble getting the Lenovo pen settings to work on my computer (part of what was advertised with the All-in-one). There is still some issues with errant dots appearing when I draw on the iPad Pro, however, I think that is more of a universal problem with touch screens in general rather than with the Apple Pencil itself, and I was able to mitigate it with a tablet glove. The downside of both the iPad Pro and Apple pencil is more part of my own broad issues with Apple products in general: they are wildly overpriced (which is the major reason why I went to Lenovo when I was searching for a dedicated desktop computer). I'm hoping that with companies like Microsoft and Lenovo catching up to the level of drawing technology Apple is at, that may change. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance of the Apple pencil and I would recommend it as a valuable tool for artists.

Simple, Sleek and Easy to Find
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new version of the Apple Pencil is a great update from the older version. The magnetic side that keeps the pencil attached to the iPad has kept me using it much more due to the fact that it's always right there. The functionality is great and the automatic charging when attached to the iPad is light years ahead of the older process. As with all things Apple, it's definitely on the expensive side.

Apple comes thru again!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a first gen pencil for my older 12.9” iPad Pro and have learned to like it very well. I bought this one for my 2020 iPad Pro. If you have the newer iPads, this new pencil is a big improvement. The feature to switch to eraser is really handy. I like the length of the device more than the Gen 1 as well. I would say that if you have an iPad and the Sept 2020 IPadOS you need this pencil.

Great Addition to Your iPad!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after test-driving my friend's iPad and Apple Pencil. I was impressed with the precision and accuracy of the pencil. It almost writes as well as a real pencil, minus the tacticle feel against paper. What's better is I get to save what I wrote for prosperity. For example, I journal quite a bit with paper and pen. Now, it's with iPad and Apple Pencil. I can also save what I wrote and search for it later, as the app I use can search actual, bonafide handwriting. Only complaint, and it's more of an iOS thing than it is the pencil, is that about 25% of the time, iOS guesses incorrectly a twhat I wrote. This leads to much frustration. I do traditional handwriing/Cooper calligraphy style-writing. Oftentimes, iOS thinks I wrote one thing when I really wrote something else. As a result, I have to print rather than use cursive so that iOS can understand me. The Pencil attaches to the iPad via a magnet and charges through induction. The first generation Pencil was hokey, in that you had to plug in a physical cable to charge it.

The best pen on the market
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Charging through magnetic connection is excellent, as I never have to worry about it losing power. It writes very easily and cleanly and feels well-balanced in my hands.

Awesome tool for Artists!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tool for artists and creative people. Magnetic charging is super simple, battery lasts a really long time, smooth gliding over the glass on the iPads. The new pencil only comes with 1 tip. Additional replacement tips can be purchased from Apple. Although it'll probably be a while before you'll need to replace it. Highly recommended for all creative types using the new iPads that support the 2nd generation Apple Pencil.

Does what it’s supposed to do-act like a pencil
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a pencil. Works very intuitively. No buttons but is pressure sensitive and you can tap it in some apps which works like a button press. Very well made and I’ve not experienced a session where it ran out of power. Hard to remember to snap it to edge of iPad anytime you would normally set it down. Maybe they should add a locate feature? Charges fast.

The perfect art tool of the digital world
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The apple pencil and ipad combo is a masterful work of sheer genius and engineering. This epic little guy is really able to take on the abilities of the real tools it emulates. The real shocker was just how much it's able to immitate a real pencil's capabilities. The simplistic minimal design is also a comforting and subtle reminder of how less is more.
