This the pencil that should have been first

The original pencil was a joke in my opinion. While it worked, the ergonomics were terrible. Charging via cable or through the IPad was poor design. The Pencil 2 is magnetic and charges while attached to the IPad. It's screen functions are precise. I still wish it was the size of a pen to fit in my pocket. Yes, I still wear shirts with pockets. It's good writing instrument but pricey.

Love the pen. Not really concerned with the price because it does what it was meant to do very well. I love to doodle/sketch and i love being able to do that. Love the recharging/magnetic feature and the “double-tap” to switch some of the pen’s functions was a good add on from Apple. Would buy it again if I lost it and highly recommend it.

The best pencil for tablets period. I draw on it and use it to take notes which it is excellent at both. Battery life is long enough and the charging is simple and easy without the need for wires.

Easy to use, easy to charge. I like the fact it attaches to iPad. It probably has more relevance for someone who uses their iPad for productivity and not just fun but it was a good purchase and I have enjoyed using it.

Works great with iPad Pro, and enables some incredible input abilities that honestly compete with dedicated digitizers. The best upgrade here is that keeping the Pencil v2 charged up is fast & effortless (charging was a very-not-funny-joke on the original Pencil). I like the extra ‘double-tap’ gesture also.

The price I paid was low, online ordering and in store pickup was easy. I had the other knockoffs, they were OK but only the Apple Pencil wirelessly charges and is overall better for me.

Excellent. Writes well. Very intuitive. Will recommend to anybody. There’s no lag when writing. Makes things easier. Saves time. You’ll enjoy using the iPad better. It’s an additional feature to like iPad. It helps in taking notes and writing stuff. I’m not good in drawing but this pen helps me a lot. I like it and it’s much better than the first one, so I’m told.

The Apple Pencil 2 is the best stylus available for iPad, and a vast improvement on the original. Magnetic charging, tap controls and a clean design make it a compelling choice for designers, and iOS tweaks mean it's improving all the time. But it will cost you.

This pencil works perfectly. I know others that have purchased non-Apple pencils and their tips wear out quickly. I have not had that issue with mine. It charges automatically when attached to the iPad and battery life is great.

The pencil works beautifully just as advertised. There are other stylus’ that some people prefer and each have their specific focus but the design and feel of this along with the way it charges makes to be my personal favorite. I personally bought a certified refurbished and had zero issues - seemed brand new to me.

When I bought my new Ipad Pro 12.9, I also bought the pen to go along with it. I didn't know if I would draw much with it but I found myself using it all the time just to navigate the Ipad. Now I barely touch the screen anymore. With the pen being able to be attached to the side of the Ipad when not in use and it also charges while it's attached, it just make it super convenient to use. Can't imagine not having it now.

Very useful with the noted app, which I use to keep track of several things at home, feels almost like using a regular pencil/pen. Im using it with my iPad Pro 11 inch model and Logitech keyboard, attaches and charges magnetically, hasn’t fallen off even when carried in my backpack for motorcycle rides

I love the updates they did to the pencil. The first gen is terrible the way you have to plug it into the Lightning port on your iPad. This solved it by having it magnetically attach to the side (like the Surface has for years) and now they've added the wireless charging. If they could just make their iPad Pro better, I'd have considered keeping it. Sad when the accessory is the best part of the device.

It's a nice pencil. Might have to get a grip or skin for it though. I find myself dropping the pencil a few times because it is slippery. Seems sturdy. I dropped it maybe about 5 times on the carpet floor and seems to be intact and functional. I like the magnetic charge feature. The tip could be a bit softer. Makes a lot of tappy noise when writing. I tried some tip covers but I didn't like them because it affects the drawing and writing experience. Not so happy about the price for a pencil tool. Besides these things, this pencil works great with drawing and writing apps. A must-have if you are using your ipad for these purposes.

Great product. It’s a must have if you have a tablet that will allow it. I’ve purchased several as it’s one major drawback is it’s a little pencil and gets lose off rolling into adventures under and in couches, car seats, most coffee shop floors, and most recently an airplane. It’s a perfect compliment and necessary tool for my iPad Pro as long as I can hold on to it.

I purchased this Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) for my daughter to go with her new iPad Air and Magic Keyboard and she loves it. She uses her iPad instead of her laptop and uses the pencil everyday in Flight School. It is much better than the 1st generation pencil that I have. Great purchase and customer service from Best Buy!

I was looking forward to the 2nd generation iPad Pencil Pro but it doesn’t connect and work with my iPad Pro 11-inch 3rd generation. My 3rd gen iPad doesn’t have the M4 processor, which is required to work with the iPad Pencil Pro. I was disappointed. I would still recommend it for users of the latest iPad Pro. It should work nicely with long-lasting battery charge.
