Great accessory for an iPad!

It's one of those things that you don't know you need until you have one. It's easy to set up and start using immediately, like all other Apple products. So far I've used it to take notes, color, and markup photos. It's a little pricey, but it seems durable and should last for a long time.

I'm a hook lefty though, and it did take some getting used to. I didn't find the software that converts handwriting to typeface to be very good anywhere.

Brilliant, but price gouging by Apple

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For someone who didn’t complain about the price of the 2020 12.9” iPad Pro, and complained a bit about the price of the Magic Keyboard, it may seem strange that I’m complaining about the price of the Apple Pencil. The reality is that it is great, but I really think Apple is pushing it by not including this with the Pro iPad lineups. This isn’t some kind of magical device that deserves the price. Doing it again, I would be tempted to try alternatives. Also, why doesn’t the Pencil 1 work with newer iPads?

Gotta get the 1st gen, but it works with the other 10 gen models that are higher.
