Don’t Get For Just Note Taking
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a month of use. Regular paper and pencil works just fine for notes although you won’t be able to organize and label important sections of your notes neatly. I’ve been using the Apple Pencil mainly to take notes. The Apple Pencil is great if you want to digitize your notes. Note taking has also been an upgrade for me since I can now color code notes and highlight digital documents. I’m able to take as many notes as I want without worrying about wasting paper. I can organize and file them accordingly for each topic and find them in a pinch. Although the $129.99 price is quite a lot for a stylus. Might be better to use notebook and paper. My classmates are having no troubles using paper and pencil, just uploading a photo of their notes and work is the only problem since our class website doesn’t take HEVC/HEIF photos (the standard format iPhones take photos and videos). Overall, I kind of do and don’t regret buying the Apple Pencil. It’s quite expensive and just using normal paper and pencil for class can achieve almost the same results. I feel that it’s worth buying if you’re a digital artists or if it was $99.99 like the first first gen. Some stuff about the Apple Pencil after a month of use •Matte design feels better than the first generation for sure •The magnetic design is a very nice thing to have since you don’t lose it and it charges every time it’s connected •Made the mistake of using the pencil while I still had just a light amount of motor oil still on my finger. It stained the pencil of course, but it disappeared after a few days of normal use. •Been using GoodNotes and Files to write and it doesn’t always write where the tip is at, usually off by just a minuscule amount but enough to throw me off, but I do have a glass screen protector on the tablet which is most likely the cause.

This is a must!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you own the newer iPad Pro, I would highly recommend purchasing one. It makes the experience of the iPad Pro that much better and feels great when note taking and combined with specific screen protectors to mimic the pencil on paper feel. I really enjoy the simplicity of the pencil attaching magnetically/charging on the side of the iPad.

Better than the first generation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new generation of apple pencil has many advantages over its predecessor. First, it charges on the side without trying to find the original charger or plugging into the end. Secondly, it has a flat side so it doesn't roll everywhere. Lastly, it has the capability to change settings (pencil to eraser) with a tap. These features alone are worth their weight in gold.

Easy to Setup and Use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the title says, super user friendly. Just let it magnetize to the side and it automatically pairs. It charges this way too.

better than the first gen
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having both apple pencils and this one is way better, in terms of usability and the way it charges. The downside is only applicable to the iPad Pro series and a tad expensive. Overall it is valuable only if you really work with arts, otherwise, don't splash your money. You can spend the money to buy AirPods or other accessories.

Recommend getting it
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good battery life. Even at continued use for more than a couple of hours, I haven't run out of battery. Been using it for many months. I paint using the pencil but otherwise too, I feel the pencil makes the iPad all the more usable.

Only get the real thing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought and used a knock-off version of this, but there is no substitute for real Apple products. The magnetized charging is brilliant, operation is smooth, and I would highly recommend it.

Love this stylist!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased with the purchase. So nice to use with a multiple of programs on my iPad. It magnetically stays on the side by which it charges itself as well. Great weight to it and easy to set up. My only complaint is the price - could be more in line with the cost of other stylists.

Literally Made for IPad Pro
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This stylus (cause that’s what it is) is so versatile. The charging mechanism is reliable and practical. This function also doubles as the synchronization process. Very responsive. You may not notice a difference in the lag time between this and the 1st gen Apple Pencil, but if you’re looking for it (like me) or you’re an artist, it makes a difference. The natural glass of the iPad Pro is slick so that takes some getting used to for writing, but not necessarily for any other pencil functions. May want to try a screen protector with some resistance to feel more control (I.e. Paperlike). Never worry about life for my uses but in case that’s something you’re paying a attention to, I can get through a day’s use of taking notes, creating and marking documents, coloring, scrolling through different apps and using this more like a stylus with about 50% life left between 8:30 am and 1am. All in all this is a great addition and a practical tool. I recommend it 100%. Also, if you’re so inclined, go for the excellent grade open box if you wanna save about $20. No significant difference other than no plastic. No extra tip(s) comes with this version.

Nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man oh man the newer one compliments the iPad Pro exceptionally. My business requires me to write a lot of dimensions and options while on the move with clients. Having the pencil lets me sketch out a venue’s layout on the go and add dimensions, shorthand, etc. without having to lug around a legal pad or a spiral.

Perfect companion to an iPad
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the upgraded 2nd gen. Recharges much easier and you don't have to worry about loosing the cap which was on the 1st gen. Worth the price especially if you are a creative pro.

Works Well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded my iPad so was forced to upgrade the pencil as well. It is nice to not have to worry about losing the cap when it comes time to charge, and charging/storage is super easy. I became a bit frustrated by the positioning of the spot that you are meant to tap to erase things, and even with it shut off in the settings it still randomly erases things sometimes. But other then that, it does what it is meant to, and is easy to charge.

If you have an iPad Pro you should buy this
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a wonderful electronic pencil. Once again Apple is knocked it out of the park with not only design and but with its seamless integration. The best part about this I think is the fact that you never have to remember to charge it once you stick it to the side of the iPad with magnets it’s already charging.
