    Bad Battery - Buyer Beware

This phone was suppose to be in excellent condition. Cosmetically, it was. But because the battery's maximum capacity is only at 74% with a message stating that the battery's health is significantly degraded and needs replacing, I gave this iPhone only 1 star. I now have to spend another $50 to replace the battery. The whole point of paying more for an "Excellent" phone was to get a phone that was in "Excellent" condition. If the battery had been at least at 85% maximum capacity I would have been happy with my purchase. The battery should had been replaced before selling it as "Excellent." I am very disappointed in having to spend even more on a phone I paid more for in order to have an "excellent" phone. I won't make that mistake again.

After reading reviews, it made me purchase this. BUT!!! I didnt know its like lottery and i got the bad one. Screen has a lot of scratches it has more scratches than my kid’s ipad. Scratches at the back and sides. Piece of paper in between. I was upset of course and i paid $200 for this. I tried to return but there was a $45 store fee. This phone is worth $60. I thought buying at best buy is good coz ive bought my phones from offerup and they were way better at least you seen in person first before you pay . I do not recommend buying any refurbished here

Didn’t even have it for a month and the camera was not working, really shaky and I couldn’t take any pictures. After googling it’s a common issue with iPhone 7. Called customer service, phone wasn’t returnable anymore so I had to go thru warranty. Warranty sent me a replacement that’s a completely non working phone. So I have been without a phone for three weeks now. Really frustrating!!! warranty customer service it’s not answering or emailing me back. Now I’m stuck with a non working phone and only used the original phone for about a month. I found a phone I thought was a good deal with the money I could afford and now I’m without a phone and money. , I wish Best Buy would of inspected the phone before selling it!

I purchased for my daughter for a Christmas gift, she opened on Christmas and the phone was not a working phone. The cosmetics were near perfect, no scratches or damage. However the internal phone was dead! The IPhone had a known issue according to the Geek Squad tech. there is NO cellular service available for the phone, additionally the battery had a service now warning. It is currently at Best Buy and they are shipping it to Apple. The Geeks said it is going to be at least 50.00 or more to replace the defective battery that came with the phone and they do not cover that cost. it will be at least 10 business days before it will be back. My advise is BUYER BEWARE. The reason i purchased from Best Buy is typically they stand behind their merchandise, not this time. Very disappointed.

    Defective Renewed Phone

It was defective. It got extremely hot, before I even finished activating it. Also, the return process was a nightmare. The phone representative was awful and said I’d be charged a restocking fee on a defective phone. The chat reps were more helpful, but still didn’t guarantee a refund without a restocking fee. I definitely won’t ever buy any electronics used/renewed/refurbished EVER again.

Defective Battery & Poor customer service

They mustn’t have checked it because it was pretty obvious. It took hours to charge and in 30 minutes it would be dead even if it wasn’t being used. In the settings it even failed its own battery diagnostics. Couldn’t return to the store with this stupid plague situation. Had to call and dispute this purchase and fight to get a $10 restocking fee removed on top of that. Had to pay to print a shipping label at UPS to return it. If you want to gamble on this item, here’s all that’s waiting for you. Good luck

I get that the phones are used but when I got it the back was all chipped like someone stabbed it with a fork and the battery is awful... I was setting up the phone since I just got it on the 7th and I noticed the battery was going down pretty quickly I figured it was because I was still setting it up so I’m charging it and notice it’s charging way too quick so I check the battery percentage in the settings and it only works at a 52 capacity... you would think they for stuff like that but nope. Now I gotta pay to get the battery replaced.

    Not a fair quality product

Purchased this device for my 11 y/o son. On paper it met all the criteria for a match. Price, storage, condition/newness etc. However the process was flawed from beginning. I will explain thoroughly to the prospective shopper as a fair warning as I know for a fact (as I will explain) that nothing will be done about it. To begin I ordered this phone early friday morning, opted out of same day delivery as I had things to do went for next day delivery. Tracking information show package was enroute for a delivery saturday morning. Saturday afternoon package so I the status online and tracking information show unavailable also order status says unavailable. Will try to reship Item within 30 days. I went back and forth with customer service about the delay on an "in stock" or readily available item. They also couldn't issue a refund as well? They also couldn't tell me what changed or how long I would have to wait. Ultimately my intention with this purchase was fair quality and convenience of purchase. A week and a half later I receive the phone. Convenience of purchase not met. Day one with the phone it looks great structurally. We go inside to setup finger print security. Myself obviously has the parent I go first, get that done. then I add my child's print. The next day I ask did he add multiple prints. He's says no. I say add more. Suddenly the security featured is greyed out in the settings list. Cant do anything with security beyond what we set up the first day. Thats odd to me and I say don't worry about it we'll figure it out later. Fast forward two weeks. Now the phone is not capable of receiving cellular service. I've had the sim card changed. The phone says no service. The phone is trash. Fair quality product condition NOT MET! You spend nearly $500 for something do not expect it to completely unserviceable within 30 days of having it. The return period was over 7 days after I received the phone. So I cannot get a refund. The phone is out of warranty do so to fix the home button touch pad needs to be replaced its $300+ and the phone is potentially blacklisted therefore it is not locked and cannot work on any network. I have purchased refurbished Apple devices for my children many times over the years without any technical issues. The issue is that I never ordered from Bestbuy. N1wireless is the best place to buy quality refurbished Apple products.

Poor quality control by Best Buy

Battery was damaged and would not hold more than 15 minutes of power. Visited customer service 2 days later. Employees (several) did not know of the warranty coverage. Finally, was informed that warranty did not cover battery. Had to pay extra $50 at the Apple Store to replace the battery. These phones should have been checked before shipping to customer. Rating is for Best Buy and not the phone, which now, works fine.

    Horrendous Battery Life!

I realize this is a used product, but the battery life of this phone is absolutely atrocious. For battery health being listed at 86%, I was expecting battery life at least close to that of a new phone, but I could literally burn through my whole battery with 3 hours of normal usage. I'm very disappointed with this purchase.

Basically a Glorified iPod with a Bad Battery

First, the phone that arrived had a bad battery. The control panel in the phone stated that the battery was in need of being replaced. When I visited the Geek Squad at a local Best Buy, the Geek Squad employee told me I'd have to shell out $50 to have the battery replaced and that a bad battery was an inherent risk in buying a refurbished phone. The phone also had some minor scratching on the side, which I was not pleased with but would have been happy to overlook if everything else was up to snuff. The bigger issue: I have cell coverage through Cricket. The product page stated that the phone was "unlocked" and would be compatible with Cricket. When the phone arrived and I put my old SIM card in it, it worked great for about four days, then without warning it stopped allowing me to place calls, make texts or use data (app's). At first, the phone gave a message that the IOS system needed to be updated, but when I plugged it into my computer, iTunes confirmed that everything was already updated. I took it to the Cricket store, and they confirmed my old SIM card was fine. (I replaced it anyway, and it still didn't fix the iPhone.) Today, I went to the Geek Squad for the second time and was told this is a common problem with iPhone 7's - apparently, one model number of the iPhone 7 (made in China, the U.S. and elsewhere) is just simply a dud, and my phone was one of them. The Geek Squad rep encouraged me to return the phone while I was still in the 15 (!) day return period and buy an iPhone 8. Obviously, I had a bad experience with the phone being compatible with my provider. That said, in fairness I want to point out that I absolutely loved this phone, especially its 256GB spec. For the first time since I owned an iPod Classic, I had a substantial amount of my song library on my phone. if it had been compatible with my cell provider, I would've had this phone for a very long time.

Very disappointed that this phone came with a terrible battery. I understand it is a used phone but for the price I expected the health percentage on the battery to be much higher. I won’t be buying from this supplier anymore.

I ordered this phone for a christmas present. I picked it up at best buy a week or so after i ordered it. It was wrapped and left to be open. Christmas day we put the sim card in and searching was displayed and would not register to network. We took it to tmobile and apple as it was confirmed the sim card reader is broken. Of coarse not return or exchange at best buy because its past 14 days. I was told I need to contact a warranty exchange program that may or may not accept my exchange. Its being mailed now to see if I can get a replacement. Meanwhile i need to make my first payment now on my best buy credit card and have no phone and a kid without a present.

The phone was in great condition but it wasn't unlocked. Was on hold with phone company for so long and was sent so many SIM cards that finally we figured out that the phone wasn't unlocked. Called Best Buy to send me a phone that was unlocked and the second one was NOT unlocked also. I had to return the product to store and bought elsewhere.

Wanted a backup phone as repairing and replacing an iphone hasn’t been easy with the stay at home orders (since Apple stores are shut). Decided that a pre-owned “Certified“ one from Best Buy would be the right way to go. Even at the premium price over local sellers and eBay. I assumed I would be getting a superior product after reading the web site. Long story short. After opening it I immediately noticed some discoloration around the camera and flash which I assumed was from the fact there had been a case on it for a long time. No prob. Good there was a case. Bad for discoloration. Charged it up. Inserted SIM. Check settings. Battery health at 80% Nope. Didn’t even last that long. Speakers would cut out when using on speakerphone. So tried playing music and watching videos. Same issue. Saving grace was that it had been a short time so was able to return it. Maybe my bad luck but in the end buyer beware.
