Always read the reviews. I got a bit hosed with this one. I currently have an iPhone 7 32gb which is pretty much maxed out. I need to get a new phone sometime & figured to give Best Buy a try. I had bought a refurbished iPhone 8 for my mom & her’s is pretty good. Her power outlet is a little dented but the rest of the phone works & looks very new. I didn’t have as good luck for me. This phone seemed good. Appearance wise it’s nearly perfect. I was a little annoyed that the phone came completely dead. My mom’s had some charge to it I think. Back to mine. The screen had a few light scratches. But, there no major damage to be worried about. The cosmetic parts that get me worried are this black rubber in the SIM card holder & some black film or something around the volume & power buttons. They also give you an off brand charger & lighting usb cord. The brand name on the wrappers were ADURO. The major scare off was when I heard something rattling inside the phone. Pretty sure nothing should be loose in a phone. It feels like a heavy block near the top, under the back camera, isn’t secure. I’m not about to use a busted phone. Lesson learned the hard way. I won’t be using Best Buy for used phones. I’m going with my gut instead & saving up for the new iPhone SE. I just gotta free up space on my original until I can get another. I’m returning it today. Fingers crossed!

Home Screen okay battery life is bad even though phone said excellent condition

It worked for a few months but it won’t hold a charge and the cellular connection goes out.

My not so “excellent condition“ reconditioned iPhone Was not only overpriced Particularly since every other color was priced $40 less however out of stock but also not in excellent condition. It came with some cheap aftermarket accessories and the screen seemed to be installed incorrectly. The screen wasn’t installed correctly as it was popping out on the sides. All in all I was extremely disappointed. The entire experience left a bad taste. Starting With the overzealous questioning prior to entry. Do I really need to make an appointment to purchase a phone? really guys??? The salesman’s attitude was as if he was doing me a favor Yet I contributed towards his paycheck I’m sure they still get paid commission? Seems retailers are closing left and right but Best Buy would rather harangue their fortunate abundance of customers prior to even entering the store however ignore customers in need of assistance completely once they enter the door. I gave them to Star’s because I was grateful to find a replacement phone on a moments notice despite an overwhelming disappointment with the actual experience

This pre-owned, refurbished IPhone started giving me trouble one month and three days after I purchased it. The phone works fine, except the occasional screen “glitches”; however, I cannot keep the battery charged now. If it’s at 80%, and it’s been off the charger for an hour, used normally, my battery is down to about 25%. When I am away from a charger, this is very frustrating and inconvenient. Return window is closed! I think they should at least replace this evidently faulty battery for me! I would be nervous about recommending to a friend to purchase pre-owned from Best Buy.

Not happy with the fact that the phone needs a new battery right from the start. at the price paid this should have done before best buy sold this item.

I bought this because I wanted a secondary phone for emergencies, when I first got it, it would not update, and would not transfer anything from my current phone, I tried doing it through iTunes, then on the device, and so on and so forth, finally got it to update (didn't do it smoothly), before I even did the update I noticed the battery health was pretty poor, at 77% I know that doesn't sound bad, and I wouldn't care if it would hold the current battery percentage for more then five minutes, the battery randomly drops 2% each time it goes down, I have had this on the charger since I received it, it will not hold a charge for more then an hour, and is very slow, I give 2 stars because the condition on the outside is excellent, as stated in the title, but as far as use, this phone won't get much out of it, pretty disappointed. I will not return due to COVID, so will just live with it. Would not recommend.

Like the phone. 1st phone I purchased had a problem with the speaker. Had the volume turned all the way up and could barely hear the other person on the other end. Took back to Best Buy within a few days and they replaced at no cost. Received replacement and worked much better. Had a protective case that I put on immediately as my son had previously had a 7. Was shooting pictures outside about a week after receiving and I noticed a streak across the pictures from the sunlight at certain angles from the sun. Looking at the back lense, you can't tell until looking at very closely. You see a hairline crack running across the middle of the lense. Being that it was more than a week, I did not even attempt to take back to Best Buy as I am sure they would say "too late, too bad, how do we know you didn't do it?" Other than the hairline crack on the lense, I do like the phone. If you do purchase a "refurb", I strongly recommend having it shipped to the store and NOT to your house and checking it out there with the employees, that way you can make sure everything is okay with it. I told the employee when he placed the order for the replacement to have it shipped to the store where I would pick up. Guess what, it showed up at my house.

Apple - Pre-Owned iPhone 7 with 256GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked) - Rose Gold purchased on May 13. Arrived on Monday. Product arrived ahead of schedule which was appreciated. However, when attempted to install our information the phone became extremely hot. It took a day to download our information. After a day, we waited and the phone cool down, but after one hour of usage it became extremely hot again. Verified battery capacity and it was maxed out at 80%. Completely disappointed and dissatisfied. Want to return product. Attempts to do so has failed. 1. Called Best Buy and waited for 40 minutes the first time. 2. Second time, called Best Buy and after waiting 10 minutes got a hold of someone was placed on hold for 36 minutes to find paperwork to return cellphone. 3. Called CCR third party to return or speak to someone. Waited 50 minutes. Please, HELP!

I got the phone and it dies really fast. Not happy with it.

Does not work and when tried to do a return said it was last time but bought the item for Xmas and it was never opened or used until after Xmas.

The phone itself arrived in great physical condition. The battery health was at 77% and says service. Phone will run a little over 1 hour before needing to be charged. Went into Best Buy to see about having a battery replacement or even a $20 discount being the phone needs a new battery. Was told I could buy a new phone or pay Geek squad and they will ship it off for a battery replacement. Only other option is to send the phone back and take a chance on a replacement which may or may not be better. If you buy these phones factor in another $60 to replace the battery to your total cost.

Buyer beware: iPhone 7 Model A1660 comes with a defective component. Mine failed some two months after purchasing (pre-owned), and created the unfixable No Service message in top left of screen. As I write this, I'm working with a Geek Squad guy to get the phone sent to Apple for repair under their iPhone 7 Repair Program: https://support.apple.com/iphone-7-no-service Would rate 5 stars if not for this No Service issue. Its a sleek phone in a comfortable size at a great price for the consumer.

Phone was not a good buy, after 3 months the phone battery life is no longer good. The phone gets hot easily. Very disappointed.

Got it for my mom who isn’t at all great with any phones but we all have iPhones so we figured she should have one too. Was good for a couple of days but I got a call saying her phone keeps cutting on and off. On my way to her right now to figure it out.

The phone is fine. Not sure there's anything I can say about the iPhone 7 that would be new to anyone However, this phone being advertised as unlocked is the biggest issue. It's not unlocked. It only works with certain carriers. Not Sprint or Verizon. They should not advertise it in the title as being unlocked when it's not.

The phone is in good condition but I have problems with the home button and touch capabilities. So, not very pleased with this purchase.

As per condition, phone was in good condition but speaker , call conference and some other feature was not working. Mainly I was not able to hear the voice and neither receiver side couldn’t hear. I had to return the phone. Bad purchase. I will recommend to check all phone feature after receipt.

It get hot a lot and the battery get drain earlier

I bought the phone thinking it was going to be unlocked, when I received it i was locked to Verizon so I had to return it.
