Went from PC to MAC! Should have done this WAY SOONER!

I have had this refurbished model for 2 years now and so I can now write a proper review. Since having this computer I have found no differences in owning a windows computer vs. mac except mac has access to better apps. My biggest complaints are of the speed. Very slow even when opening simple programs such as "calendar". It takes approximately 1 minute to open. I tried using photo editing somewhere such as Adobe lightroom and Gimp and both programs were basically unusable on this computer because it was excruciatingly slow. I have an old Toshiba laptop that costed me $350 brand new and I find myself going back to that one in order to do any photo editing. My second biggest complaint it that the hard drive cable has broken consistently every 6 months. I googled the issue and it is a well known issue for this model. It costs around $65 each time it breaks. I regret buying this computer 100%

This is the second MacBook I've owned in two years, and it's already dying. My previous MacBook was a refurbished computer I didn't lose confidence in Apple when it died after only nine months. I decided to buy the heartier MacBook Pro after reading rave reviews, and opted for a new model to avoid any further problems. I handled my MacBook Pro with care, turning it off when it wasn't in use, keeping it away from any liquids, and never dropping or slamming it. I have always treated my computers with this kind of respect, but I was even more careful after losing my previous MacBook to faulty hardware. Even so, after just six months, my MacBookPro started acting up. First, I would get rogue "y"s popping up whenever I typed anything. It got so bad, "y"s would pop up even when I wasn't typing! Then, when I followed Apple's repair instructions and inserted the set up disk to analyze the problem, the disk wouldn't read and kept bringing up an error message saying the disc was empty. Finally, my MacBookPro has gotten so sluggish and unreliable, it has all but ceased to function. After six months, I will be purchasing a new computer. But this one won't be an Apple. In my opinion, Mac has become overpriced junk. Save your money and buy a PC instead.

I thought I was buying a full size laptop. Therefore, I am not pleased!

I purchased this laptop in October 2020. It is now early March 2021 and the battery has stopped working. It no longer charges. Best Buy is not helping the situation. Since I got it I could smell the plastic when the battery was going.
