I just purchased my MBP yesterday, I am also a first time Mac user. I am very satisfied with this product. I was a little worried at first because of the price but let me tell you it is well worth the price. The setup is fast and easy and it's lighting fast when browsing the web. I will never go back to windows the MBP offers you things you can't get with windows...so if your like me and a little worried about purchasing this product because of the price then don't be just BUY IT!!! :)

I was super hesitant making the big switch over from PC to Mac but I'm a teacher and we were moving towards iPads and Apple and all so i thought what better time to get one and try it out. i havent put it down since, in fact now i get super frustrated with my PC. It has so much power to help you be as creative as you want to be, documenting photos, making ibooks, editing movies etc the possibilities are limitless. I would highly recommend this product, and what I love most is I feel a mac doesnt age the way a PC does. its been a fantastic experience!

I just bought my first macbook pro last couple weeks and all I can say is this laptop is awesome. I've been a PC user for such a long time and I do like using pc. I decided to buy this one for school and personal use because I know that apple doesn't have much as PC in their product. But this is the best laptop I've ever use before before it is perfectly built, awesome battery life, very clear screen that helps me a lot when reading. I would really recommend this brand to students or anyone who can afford it. This product is built to last and maybe cost more but it is all worth it.

I researched many laptops and instantly fell in love with this MacBook. I thought it might be too small, but the screen size is perfect, and the ability to easily enlarge what is on the screen makes it extremely versatile. Apple offers great features and I absolutely love the functionality of the track-pad. The body is solid with great engineering and craftsmanship. I am so glad I chose this MacBook. It offers everything I need at an affordable price. You definately get what you pay for and this was a very smart purchase.

I've had my Macbook Pro for about three weeks now. At first, it was extremely frustrating because I wasn't used to anything other than a PC, but a worker at Best Buy showed me a few nice features and shortcuts. This laptop was a serious leap in price and quality for me because I've always had other PC's that were under $500 each. The last one I bought, a Samsung, lasted only two months! There was a problem with the hard drive that Geek Squad couldn't fix. So far, the Macbook Pro has grown on me greatly. If you want a smooth, lighting fast computer with a bright, clear screen and that very rarely gets viruses, go with a macbook. The only problem is that it might be hard to want to go back to any other brand!

I will never go back to any other computer. Aliens must have been involved in making this product. Excellent performance all around. Smooth operating system and convenient in many ways that you won't realize until you have a mac. Apps are great.

I would recommend this computer to anyone. It's a little heavier than I expected but you can't beat the performance. Hopefully, this will continue. The main reason I moved to a MAC is because of the short life of a PC. I bought a fairly expensive PC that I thought would last longer than the one I had previously. It has gotten so slow, it freezes up all the time and I just decided to look into a MAC product. The reviews were all outstanding so I decided to go with it even though it is a bit more expensive than I typically pay for a computer. I'm hoping that it will not disappoint. So far, so good!

I am a teenager who is required to have a laptop for school, my parents bought this for me for a birthday gift 3-4 months ago and I love it! Before I got my MacBook I had a HP netbook which was horrible, it took forever to load had a fuzzy screen, and was super tiny. Now I'm spoiled with this MacBook Pro. My family got an iMac 5-6 months ago which I loved, I have an iPod touch 4th Generation, My mom has an iPod shuffle, My dad has an iPad and an iPad 2, and I have the iPhone 4s so we are apple addicts. This computer is just as excellent as my other Apple products. The only negative things are: the MacBook is made of aluminum, so its pretty easy to scratch, so I bought a pink hard-shell case for it with a matching keyboard cover. It is expensive, but it's worth every penny! Buy this, it's amazing!

I'm new to the Apple bandwagon, I got tired of my Blackberry and invested in my iPhone last December and fell in love with it. As I was growing tired of my PC, I decided to look into a Mac. Best decisions I have ever made. There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's awesome!! It's much quieter than my PC, runs like a charm. The graphics are AMAZING and the sound quality is even better!! The aluminum does get a bit dirty, even though I have a case on it. The battery life is also amazing!! I went 8 hours without a single charge.

Sadly since its an old model of apple it cant have the news updates!

It took less than an hour to migrate all my files and ITunes from my 6 year old Laptop PC to the Mac. This is truly an amazing machine, so much so I also bought my wife one

When I started my research to find a new laptop to replace my aging HP laptop I considered every computer brand. I read most of the reviews that are posted here on bestbuy.com. I narrowed it down to a Sony Vaio or the Mac Book Pro. I am happy with my Mac Book Pro, but I could never understand why Apple products were more expensive than the competition. Now that I own a Mac I understand why, this a well built computer that works flawlessly. Unlike PC based computers that freeze or crash my Mac has been working great. Just like all of the previous reviews, I highly recommend the Mac Book Pro. You won't be disappointed.

My first laptop was a Dell and after 6 years it went out on me. This is my second laptop and I feel like I should have made this purchase a long time ago. The speed, the battery, the picture, and the buy is great.

This is my first Mac computer and, I must say, I'm extremely impressed. There was a small learning curve to get used to the "button-less" track pad and the Lion operating system, but I am absolutely loving this laptop. Very user friendly and simple to navigate with all the swipe / finger gestures on the track pad. The first thing I did was throw in the maximum amount of 8GB of RAM in order to handle Photoshop and Lightroom. Other than that, performance and stability of this laptop has exceeded my expectations. The screen on this things is pretty incredible, too. I primarily use my MacBook for web surfing and photo editing. So far, no complaints! I can happily say that I will forever be a part of the Apple family.

Mac may cost a little more but is well worth the price. I have been a long time PC user and thoroughly enjoy the ease Apple makes the change over with One to One training. Try to get Microsoft to help, not!

Just switch from a windows based netbook to this beauty and I love it...great performance, fast, reliable...a convenient. Great deal, strongly recommend

Ive Been a Windows PC User For 15 Years but I Made the switch and will never go back. First I bought an iPod Touch and loved it, so I tried the iPad 2 also great. It was time to update my 2 year old Sony Vaio. First I purchased a New 15" Sony Vaio, it was big and Heavy also had this annoying Power button Light. I kept it for a week and just wasn't impressed it seemed just like my old computer. I returned it and decided Id try this macbook pro out. I was unsure of going smaller 13" but its much more comfortable on my lap than a 15". The screen is amazing, It took a day or two to get used to OS Lion but the touchpad gestures are Awesome. Once you try a Mac The other PCs/Windows Just seem OLD!

I bought this for my wife seeing as she needed a laptop for college and her other one was super old. She loves it. So do I. At first its a bit hard to get used to since we were pc owners but once you get used to it, its actually quite hard to put down. Many of my friends own macs and no of them have any complains. Other than its hard to customize the inside yourself. I would recommend a certified person for that.

The only Apple product I have previously owned was a second generation Ipod Touch. I have been a PC user for years and have self taught myself how to build desktops as a hobby for myself. I switched to this Mac after some research and friends having Macs. Lets just say I love this Mac! The screen is bright, clear, and vibrant. The touch pad is alo a time save with the multi touch gestures you can use to do your daily activities. Would definitely by again.

The MacBook Pro is incredible as a laptop for any student! The MS Office 2011 for Mac is perhaps the best MS office for any student (most importantly the audio recording feature)! The OS is okay ... I'm really a PC guy and most likely will be for the rest of my life - at least while I continue to work for corporations that use PC's. In any case, the reason for the Performance being Good rather than Excellent is due to fact that sometimes the laptop will freeze up and slow down. !!WARNING!! If you're a heavy Excel user like me, do yourself a favor and install Windows using either Parallels or Bootcamp [I prefer BootCamp] and install MS Office for PC on it, MUCH better use of Excel and stability. Another issue I have with the laptop (more of an OS X Lion issue) is the fullscreen apps. Its great and all but the only problem is when new windows open up with links - really confusing on how to close individual full screen windows WITHOUT taking it out of fullscreen mode and then exiting out the old fashioned way, but that again, not a major issue that cant be resolved with an update to the OS. Either way, I'd definitely recommend this laptop to anyone willing to invest in something great. The screen is just gorgeous and Windows 7 just looks amazing on it (haha), but the Mac OS X Lion looks great too.
