Otherwise, its pretty much a waste.

Not smart

Apple missed with this one. Go with the smart option

Seems like a silly thing to review... but

If this remote loop was included with the Apple TV, it would not warrant a review on it's own. I guess my review is to say that it SHOULD'VE been included, why have to pay extra for something like this? I'm not a gamer, I basically purchased it to give the remote 'more body'.. It is a small and thin remote and can easily get lost in the sofa cushions or be dropped. I have an iPod Touch that did include the lanyard, and was glad that it had one. I knew I'd want something a little more for this Apple TV Remote, so I guess it will come in handy. I was concerned as it connects to the lightening connector which I will need if I have to recharge the remote (at least I don't have to worry about batteries). Inserting and removing it are easy when you need to remove it for recharging.

Another overpriced Apple accessory

We bought it to differentiate the remote in the living room from the one in the bedroom, and to make it easier to recover if it drops between the couch cushions. For those things it works great.
