A horrible control with a beatifull desing but a questionable quality

I mistakenly bought this remote to my apple tv 4th gen. I recognize the battery was not rechargeable. So I change the apple 4th gen remote.

I'm on my 3rd remote, they either get lost or break very easily...I prefer using the mobile app, this remote is a very slow option for typing anything into search bars

Does the job, but this is the second Apple TV remote I've had to purchase, the buttons have stopped working, could last longer.

Says controls all Apple TVs on the box…it doesn’t…caution.

Works fine, looks good, but functionality could be improved if designers had strayed a bit from the minimalist look. An increase in the size would certainly help.

After three weeks, we couldn't scroll right. Couldn't get help on the phone, didn't have time for a Geek Squad appointment. I got a replacement at the Apple Store

Best Buy Store Staff responded to my questions about the remote and it’s compatibility with my current AppleTV model like I was stupid. Not very helpful at all.

My recliner "ate" my original one. There has been no way to reach it, so I bought this as a replacement. It is working fine.

$20 bucks to replace lost apple tv remote. The product is fine, but apple should allow the remote app to replace the hardware, even for setup on the Apple TV.

Not overly impressed with the Apple replacement remote. You would think a remote built by the company for their product would work better than it does. Very few functions, should have bought a cheep universal infrared remote that would control more functions. Seems that apple is pushing you by a new version of the Apple TV purely out of remote frustration.

OEM remote for apple tv. Old one quit working so got a replacement. A little pricy considering the cost of an apple tv but does what it is supposed to do.

This is my second replacement because one of the buttons stopped working. Easy setup, just annoying that it doesn’t last more than 2 years.

Apple could have done a lot better than this remote. It's tricky to handle and not at all ergonomic. Use your iPhone instead.

The buttons start to sink In and buttons stop working after light use.

Had to replace lost remote. This remote is far too small for use by children. It gets lost very easily!

Have to have it to use my Apple TV, but I hate these units. Extremely easy to hit the wrong part of the circular pople control. The center button has too many functions, and using this to move through menus is a PITA. Too much minimalism is no longer an oxymoron. Additionally, don't ever get anything even remotely liquid near it, including greasy fingers from popcorn. It is NOT a sealed unit. Our new one is now in a heat-sealed plastic bag.

The product is effective and works exactly like it’s supposed to. The only issue is that you can’t recharge this remote, you can’t use volume controls either bc it does t have any. The newer remote solves both of these problems. It doesn’t take many times switching out batteries to pay for the difference between the newer model and this one. Me personally, this remote doesn’t solve much for me.

Apple being apple. Limited button options. Just not a fan of the way this is used

Had to replace two of these recently because the buttons wear out and become unresponsive. No other options that I know of.
