Good remote, instructions for this one are updated online.

Tried to use this w apple tv because we thought the new touch controller was annoying at first. But now we do think the new style is better after using this old style. I wouldnt buy this unless you just need a play and skip controller for music and thats it. Navigating menus with this is impossible.

The Apple remote has a three year life span. When it fails, it does so without warning. You know that your Apple remote has died when replacing the battery does not resuscitate it. The replacement unit ships and arrives via Prime within a couple days and you are up and running again immediately.
