I replaced my first remote and needed a new one. I google it and right before my eyes bestbuy and Apple sold them. I bought it off bestbuy because I love the return policy if things don't work. The remote does the exact job the original remote did.

I misplaced my original remote during a recent move. I have the Apple remote on iPhone but I needed the original one to complete setup of my AppleTV. This is now kept in my box of important things.

This is a great a remote for the Apple TV 2nd gen but it's always missing around the house. Apple should have added a beeping functioning on the remote to activate when it's lost like somewhere in the couch, in the kids toy box, in the laundry room, etc.

Nothing fancy, direct replacement, no reason to buy anything else

This is the exact remote for my AppleTV. We donated my beloved recliner and the original remote, mistakenly went with the chair. Best Buy had the replacement in-stock and it was waiting for me at the service desk, after made my order online.

Remote works great despite instructions for set up being incorrect

I bought this because others claimed it was a superior remote for the Apple TV- I don't think it is- it's way too narrow and the round dial like button doesn't stick out as much as I'd like. I prefer the original remote and wasted my money with this one.

If you're looking for an Appls TV, this works fine. The 4th gen has the touch sensor which is a lot more convenient, but is 4x the price. This works on the 4th gen Apple TV so if you're just looking for a cheap replacement this will suffice.

I love my Apple TV including the remote, unfurtenally yhis is my fourth one I buy cause I have little kids in the house and they seem to either misplace it or break them. But Best Buy has the cheapest price around

As expected to an Apple product good quality I will say don’t ask to much is for the older gen but works great. I have 2 Apple TV old version and the 4K one and definitely if u love Apple u know what I’m talking about.
