I tied using an older one or even my phone but nothing beats the original accessory in function and longevity! I also bought 2 so that I wouldn't have to use the older ones any more!

No Issues

It connected seamlessly to the apple tv at home and whenever I needed to make presentations at work, all I needed to do was just to take it along and it made me an excellent presenter! Love it!!!!
