The only Apple TV remote

This one is waaaay better than the last model. I’m embarrassed I waited this long to purchase. Also, if you’re wondering like I did prior to purchasing, this model will work with your last gen apple TV. I almost made the mistake of purchasing the latest model just to get the new remote. Glad I didn’t.

Improved Apple TV Remote

I purchased this to replace the older remote which was awkward to hold. Apple's improvements make selections much easier to achieve. On a side note, I only wished this remote had a chip to locate it when misplaced, otherwise it is an awesome addition!

You should have seen how my 85-year-old dad swiped the old one - it was so slow! The 4-point click areas makes navigation and channel changing much easier on him, as well as the dedicated power button.

Bought this as an upgrade for her, Christmas and immediately she enjoyed it. great gift that we both get to use.

Great Remote for Apple TV

I will say though that it is a bit sensitive when using the wheel - maybe we need to get used to it. Buttons have nice feedback. We use this to navigate apps on the TV like Tablo and Direct TV as well as the Apple TV.

It fix the major touchpad issues of the second gen by being the button technology back. Wow forking up the money to rid yourself of the headaches of the second gen remote

My personal opinion is in the love it side. Welcome improvement over the previous remote. My wife still prefers the original Siri Remote. Can't win them all... I use an Apple TV in my exercise room. For watching movies, TV, or doing Apple Fitness + classes. The old remote drove me a little crazy. This new remote is way better! It just makes more sense. I love it. I highly recommend this remote if you dislike the old one.

It would benefit from a lower price tag to get more people to upgrade to it or better yet, if they just included this remote to begin with when they launched the Apple TV 4k models.
