Better options for other iPads.

Having come from a Brydge on my old Air this does not feel as good when typing. Also learned to love the adjustable angle. I'm happy until Brydge introduces their new model in the fall.

Doesn't lie flat while typing or when collapsed.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this keyboard cover, but it simply won't lie flat on a flat surface. This causes the iPad to rock and wobble forward and backward while typing. This is distracting. The cover also doesn't lie properly when folded as a cover. It seems the separation/spacing of the material along one edge is simply shorter than it should be (as it is shown in the profile shot on Apple's site). This seems to pinch the keys and results in a peak in the middle of the keyboard section. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing defect in the first batch or if Apple will simply hope most people don't notice. This seems to contradict Apple's (Jony Ive's and Tim Cook's) obsession with industrial design and manufacturing tolerances. Personally, I preferred the leather Smart Case Apple made for the iPad 2. I'd love to see Apple make a leather keyboard case (not just a cover) for the iPad Pro 10.5. If they somehow managed to incorporate a backlight then they could name their price and take my money! As far as this product goes, though, I simply expect much more for the price.

Jury Is Still Out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received my keyboard cover today and tested it on my iPad Pro. First thing I noticed was that it didn't lay flat. I had read and seen many reviews showing this challenge. I tried to see if I could adjust it some and got it to sit a bit better but it was slightly off the table. I will give it some time and see how it goes. This keyboard is much more difficult to use than my Surface Pro 4 keyboard. Not as nice an experience. If I had a lot of typing to do, I would use the Surface over this one. It seems limited to use on a desk or table and not your lap. During the first few hours of using this keyboard, the iPad froze up and I could not change screens and the touch function stopped working. I had to remove the keyboard and reboot the iPad to get it to work properly. That's when I stopped using the keyboard and went back to just using my iPad Pro as a tablet. I do love my iPad for media consumption - one of the best there is. However, this keyboard has yet to convince me that it is a necessary iPad accessory. The jury is still out. I will give it a week or so and then make the final judgment.

Overpriced, feels like fabric wrapped cardboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple is the only company that can get away with charging $160 for a keyboard with no backlight, stiff keys with no travel, cumbersome design and little to no durability. However, since very few keyboards support the smart connector standard, this keyboard somehow is the gold standard for ipad pro smart connector keyboards. Although I'd recommend it to friends, I would have liked for Apple to make the keyboard more robust and feature filled (Apple pencil loop, holder?) for its price.

Poor build quality. Doesn’t last.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These keyboard cases are very cheaply made. I’ve now been thru two in a year. The first one was fraying and there were long white threads of stitching sticking out all over the place. This second one the material is warped and looks like it expanded and the side stitching (the part from the thinner smart cover side) has completely come unstitched and you can see the cardboard on the inside. The first time, Apple swapped it for free. This last time they wanted $142 which is practically the cost of a whole new case. Save your time and money and pass on this one.

Doesn't work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this yesterday along with a new Ipad 10.5 Pro I was excited about the way it connected unfortunately It doesn't work and while researching I found out it is a common problem so back it will go and I'll just use a bluetooth keyboard.
