I took my time in determining what keyboard to purchase for my new Apple iPad Air 10.2, most of the review talked about needing to purchase a keyboard, and then purchasing a cover, but the negative was that he keyboards all used bluetooth and had major battery issues. ...I ultimately decided to go with the Apple keyboard, and it actually does more then fine as a cover as well, yes one side (the back side) of the iPad is not covered, but I really don't see any issues with it as far as scratches or overall durability. I would confidently purchase the Apple keyboard, and enjoy having no battery issues with the keyboard use.

I'm a writer. I love good keyboards. But I also travel a lot, and my iPad goes with me, so I needed the best solution. For Apple, that felt like Apple's own keyboard cover. I tried other covers and keyboards, mostly by Logitech, and while I liked those, they added too much bulk. (The exception was Logitech's Keys-to-Go keyboard, which is astounding, but not attached. Logitech should really make a Smart Cover replacement using that tech.) Now, the reason for the 4 stars is the keys' feel and quality. It's excellent, mind you, but a superior product is Microsoft's Surface Pro keyboard, which is what EVERY mobile keyboard should be, at least as far as the keys go: good travel, satisfying typing, and great spacing. Now, the Apple Keyboard has all these things, but still feels like a travel keyboard, whereas Microsoft's feels like a full-time keyboard. That, combined with the steep price, drops it to 4 stars.

Works great with the iPad Pro and is very portable

This smart keyboard works great with my iPad 10.2. It attaches to the iPad in a cinch, charges without any cables, and protects the front. Very lightweight, too.

this keyboard fits my new iPad perfectly. Attaches in the correct spot by magnet. Totally protects the screen when not in use, and works as a stand for the iPad, when typing. Nice protection too.

It is light and it doesn’t require to be charged. Has multiple options for you to prop or lay the iPad for view, but it does NOT cover the backside of the iPad. It is completely exposed to damage or scratches. Also, when you usar the keyboard, the part that the iPad is laying on is later the part that touches the screen when closed!!!! If you sit this thing on something wet or sticky, that will be touching the screen when it is all closed up.

The Apple - Smart Keyboard integrates better than the third party bluetooth keyboard. No need to charge, instant connections, and thinner profile. A little expensive though.

Love this keyboard. Connects effortlessly without needing to charge. Plug and play. Easy to type on and quiet. The only thing I wish is that it covered the back of the iPad as well like the new smart keyboards for the latest iPads.

Love this keyboard with my iPad Pro 10”! I wish it could be attached with the case I have is my only complaint. I knew it wouldn’t though and use it when I need to for different activities. My 7 yr old used it with the case and I use it without. Love the way it attaches to the side and doesn’t move!

It is sleek so it doesn't feel like something extra on the iPad that is weighing it down or making it clunky. It is easy to switch from the on screen keyboard to the physical keyboard.

Apple makes amazing products, and this Smart Keyboard for iPad Pro 10.5” is no exception. The extremely low profile and sealed design are excellent. I love this keyboard and have nothing bad to say about it. I purchased it after seeing many positive reviews and reading a story about it from one of my online mentors. My only issue is that there aren’t very many good cases to carry the iPad Pro 10.5”. There are tons for the 9.7” and 12”, but very little for the 10.5”. Since I need a protective case with multiple viewing angles and wanted a place to carry the Apple Pencil along for the ride, I chose to go with the Zagg Rugged Messenger keyboard case instead.

Excellent as both a a stand and a keyboard. Excellent feel to keys. Stand is solid and firm. Allows you to use the IPad Pro more like a laptop if you wish. Interface is seamless and perfect.

This was great for my iPad. It’s so easy to use and comfortable. I like how compact it is when folded up. As well as the east attachment. Glad I got this

The keyboard is great. It is easy to type with and is just amazing overall. It is very useful and helpful, and even has its own kickback stand like amazing.

This keyboard serves three purposes. It makes it easier to type, it protects the device when I'm not using it, and it makes a nice stand for reading.

The need for keyboard on an iPad is limited as I don’t consider it a device for doing any real work. But this doubles as cover and stand and does it well. So why not for the times when you need to type a long email on the go.

At first, I was slightly disappointed with this product since it doesn’t have a back. (Like the older smart cases that apple made). The keyboard is very similar to the Smart Cover that Apple makes. Although there are several different branded keyboards available, I personally always prefer using products made by the original manufacturer of the product it is going on. The keyboard has a slim appearance and folds in such a manner that it can be used with or without the keys showing. After owning for a month, I love it! I did have to buy a separate comparable protector for the back of the iPad, but I would not want any other keyboard. A+ product!!

If my MacBook had this type of keyboard feel I wouldn’t even use my iPad. This is quiet, easy to use and has dozen of commands for almost every app. Plus no Bluetooth connection!

This goes great with my new iPad. This keyboard makes it much more easier to work with instead of my laptop. Its easier and lighter to carry around.
