    When migrating data to a new computer, this cable will lower file transfer time from typically 2 hours by Ethernet cable, to 45 minutes using Thunderbolt cable. You need Type-C connections on both machines.

    I went into the store to pickup a replacement cable, rep told me that they had one for a lower price, so I bought it. I get to a coffee shop and realize just how short the cable is. I'm not sure how this would come of use.

    Works great, as it should. Apple might be reducing the number of peripherals, but at least the ones left still work! TB3 has proven to be a huge step above TB2 in terms of uses and transfer speeds.

    If you have a very fast external device, you owe it to yourself to get a fast cable. I have an external Samsung SSD drive, and this cable makes a difference.
