    Its a thunderbolt 3 cable. Works as expected. Probably a bit over priced but at the time of purchase Apple wasn't allowing quick charge over 3rd party cables.

    A bit pricey, but all apple products are. Best Buy always has a big selection of apple products.

    This is perhaps the longest active Thunderbolt 3 cable (not USB-C cable) I could find. It can charge up to 100W and send data up to 40Gbps. It's very reliable.

    Apple does charge more for their cables, but I prefer to use Apple cables on my Apple products. Also, ordering an Apple cable of any sort, you're not over-whelmed by a large, off-brand product line to choose from. I've been using the Apple cable products for my Apple devices since the early 2000's and haven't ever had a problem.

    Had to buy this to go with the 87w charger for my MacBook Pro. Hate that they're sold separately...and not cost effective at all BUT never had issue and always dependable.

    I tried other brand cables that were cheaper but either did not work correctly, or broke quickly. Apple products seem to last the longest and work the best!
