You need Type-C connections on both machines.

This cable performed flawlessly - less than 7 mos.

This cable performed flawlessly for less than 7 months. I used it in a few different use cases, including to drive an LG Ultrafine 5K Thunderbolt monitor, to hook up to an OWC Thunderbolt hub, and to connect to/charge various non-Thunderbolt USB-C devices. I connected via both PC and Mac. I isolated the problem to this particular cable, since other Thunderbolt cables continued to work with my hub and my monitor. I never kinked the cable or otherwise put undue stress on any portion of the cable. 1-star due to failing so soon, especially for a relatively pricey cable. Upgrade to 2-star because it is notoriously difficult to find Thunderbolt cables that work in the first place (lots of things mislabeled due to USB-C confusion). That said, I would probably still buy this cable again if I was really in pinch, since it is the only one widely available on short notice at a brick-and-mortar Best Buy or Apple store (i.e., don't have to wait for shipping).

Worked great
