Simple and effective
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This adapter worked perfectly to connect my macbook pro with my apple thunderbolt display! There were no issues or hiccups and basically felt like a native, built-in cable. Very impressed with this adapter and completely worth paying for this compared to looking at other cheap, third-party options.

Works great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to transfer movies from my old DV camera. I tried some cheaper off brand first and had to try this one after all. Works great, don't waste time with the cheap ones on amazon..

Works as expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Adapter works as expected. If I wasn't in a time crunch, I would have bought a cheaper one. $50 isn't optimal, but it does what it needs to.

Like all things Apple simple and reliable.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using to connect my 2016 through 2019 MBPs with only USBC I/O to my Apple Thunderbolt display. In addition to the display working flawlessly I am able to use the legacy USB ports on the back of the monitor to connect peripherals like keyboards, trackballs, printer and scanners, thereby eliminating cables and dongles going to the MBPs.

Now This Thing's Handy
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yeah, I did it. I sunk some money into a Thunderbolt 2 Dock and server. It was foolish, but think again if you assume I've learned a lesson. As long as there are adapters, everything is gonna be alright. It's good quality and serves a very specific purpose. Without it, I'd be swearing like a plumber who lost his car keys down the pipe on a toilet replacement gig.

Works well to convert Thunderbolt 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple pulled a fast one on people who viewed Thunderbolt 2 vs. Thunderbolt 3 in the same manner as USB2.0 vs USB 3.0. One would think the plugs would be identical for Thunderbolt cables but no! If you have a Thunderbolt 2 device and your iMac only has a Thunderbolt 3 plug you must get this adapter. Easy to plug in and use but Apple should have done us all a favor and not changed the darn plug. I suppose this is progress

Needed to connect my new Mac to old Thunderbolt Di
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed it to plug in my new MacBook pro to an old APPLE THUNDERBOLT DISPLAY - it worked flawlessly. I can now do everything with my MacBook closed on a huge apple display and also able to use all the ports on the back of the display. It has also let me connect to all my small square thunderbolt hard drives It could be cheaper but you pay for quality

Works well, but remember, Thunderbolt - not MiniDP
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This adapter works well enough -- as long as you are looking for a Thunderbolt adapter, not a Mini-DisplayPort adapter. Although the physical connector for Thunderbolt 2 and MiniDP is the same, this is strictly a Thunderbolt adapter. It will *not* work to connect a Mini-DisplayPort monitor. I use it with an Apple Thunderbolt Display, for doing target disk mode along with a Thunderbolt cable, and with a Thunderbolt RAID array, and it works great for all.

Great Adapter for Thunderbolt 2 Owners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few things that I used to plug up with Thunderbolt 2 (cameras with Firewire-to-Thunderbolt 2 adapters) as well as hard drives. This adapter works exactly as advertised. One issue is that the cable doesn't stay in the port very well. There isn't any latching or hooking that happens when you stick it in. The adapter popped out of the back of my computer with little effort. This could be a complaint of the USB-C standard rather than this adapter.

Thunderbolt 3 to 2 Adapter “MBPro User"
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hey everyone, you really can’t go wrong with this. I am running a huge external storage system and it’s shooting out some ridiculous numbers because it doesn’t downgrade to 2, it’s more of a pass through connector. I’m able to back up Gigs in the time it was taking probably equated to Megs. 20Gb/s for 3 I think vs. 800Mb/s yeah it’s a difference!

Not the cheapest option, but does what it should
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was purchsaed to connect a new Macbook Pro to an older Apple Display. The person I was purchasing this for was working remotely, and I didn't want to mess around with some 3rd party cables that may or may not be compatible, While this was a bit more money, it was in stock, shipped quickly, and I knew it would be very plug-and-play for my client.
