This is the only way I found to connect my firewire device to my 2018 mac mini.

Excellent thunderbolt 2 to USB-C adapter.

A Necessary Device for Thunderbolt Products

Does the job

It fits the 2020 model and the old thunderbolt adapter which went to the old Mac.

Good for connecting thunderbolt displays

Perfect Solution for usb-c MacBooks

Basically turns my monitor into a home doc.

USB-C to Thunderbolt, it worked perfectly and kept my monitor useful after moving to a new laptop without a true Thuderbolt port.
