It fits the 2020 model and the old thunderbolt adapter which went to the old Mac.

Basically turns my monitor into a home doc.

Does the job: New MBP to older Thunderbolt Display

USB-C to Thunderbolt, it worked perfectly and kept my monitor useful after moving to a new laptop without a true Thuderbolt port.

A must have adapter for older Thunderbolt Mac comp

I'm using it with my older 2012 mac mini. I allows me to connect my egpu (Thunderbolt 3) to my Thunderbolt Mac Mini. It enhances the Mac Mini.

In addition to this expensive adapter I had to but an expensive cable to connect the adapter to the 2012 iMac.

A little pricey for what it is, but to saved years of data from and old computer and made quick work of it. So I could get back up and running/
