Too easy. Plug it up right out of the box. Seemed a little pricey but that’s Apple not Best Buy. Highest quality. Will last forever.

I might not be happy about actually needing an adapter; but, in reality it isn't that big of an issue for me. These adapters do the job, the hassle is having to remember to pack them in my bag when I work out of town.

I had an old hard drive with a thunderbolt 2 connection & this did the trick! Bought an open box. Definitely satisfied

This adaptor does exactly what it should do, but sometimes the price of these adapters is a bit ridiculous. That's the only reason I give it a 4/5.

Good adapter. Had to purchase it along with another adapter in order to connect our Mac using an ethernet cable.

Very needed For a MacBook Pro. It is hard to switch from one machine to another without having such an item especially when you’re always trying to keep all your hard drives that are external up-to-date

I use it to connect to a Thunderbolt 2 to FireWire 800 adapter to access older FireWire 800 external drives. It works great and I haven’t had a single connection issue/error yet.

I bought this to connect by 2018 Mac Mini to a high-end Thunderbolt audio interface. It works perfectly with no issues. A little expensive but it does what it's supposed to do.

Use this to record music - my Apollo twin mKII is not thunderbolt 3 so this worked like a charm to connect to my new MacBook Pro. No issues whatsoever - works as advertised.

3/5 stars because of price and Apple being a terrible company that forces people to purchase things that should be included in their products. Product works flawlessly 5/5. My wife has a Mac Book Pro for work, and she has a Thunderbolt display. The Mac Book Pro is extremely expensive and should come with every type of adapter you could need. Because you can't use Ethernet, or old Apple connections like this Thunderbolt 2. No USB ports only USB-C(Thunderbolt 3) is a terrible design. No thumb sticks without adapters etc. Buy it if you need it, Apple doesn't give you a choice.
