3/5 stars because of price and Apple being a terrible company that forces people to purchase things that should be included in their products. Product works flawlessly 5/5. My wife has a Mac Book Pro for work, and she has a Thunderbolt display. The Mac Book Pro is extremely expensive and should come with every type of adapter you could need. Because you can't use Ethernet, or old Apple connections like this Thunderbolt 2. No USB ports only USB-C(Thunderbolt 3) is a terrible design. No thumb sticks without adapters etc. Buy it if you need it, Apple doesn't give you a choice.

An adapter that does what it's supposed to do. Adapted an older Thunderbolt accessory to work with the newer Thunderbolt 3 port on my iMac.

Apple almost always means quality, so that's why I purchased this adapter instead of a generic. Well, I did buy a generic version and it didn't work - so i bought this one, and it worked like a charm.

I guess it works fine. It does what I need - bridge Thunderbolt 2 devices to a Thunderbolt 3 port. I object to the $50 price tag and the lack of the older ports in my new iMac. Sigh.

Upgraded to a new MacBook Pro and needed to use my old thunderbolt drive. This allowed me to do that. A little pricy, but reliable. I couldn’t risk a loose connection with an off brand version.

Although I am perfectly happy with the ease of use - I am disappointed that I cannot connect my new computer to my monitor without having to purchase an accessory and no longer being able to charge my computer via the Thunderbolt display. Other than that - works as described.

Great device that allows you to port up to newer standard. A must have if you have older devices you want to connect to newer hardware!

It does what you need to do. Hated spending this much on an adapter but it works great and have no worries about it failing for a good while!

Works like a charm but then again its apple! Play and play no driver needed like some adapters. It also matches the aesthetic of everything else!

Perfect solution to allow me to connect my M1 MacBook Pro to an older OWC multiport dock so I could set up a multi-display arrangement.

The adapter is pretty handy. I use it to connect my mac to an audio interface. No issues so far. The design is nice too. Little pricy though.

This is a must have for conversions and hookup easy to install

I know that we can not stop time with "Technology", however, the adapters are the bridge from old to new technology. It works great with the old connectors without having to buy new cables.

Good quality for what it is. Necessary to be able to continue using my external hard drive with my new laptop.

I had several Thunderbolt 2.0 adapters from my previous MacBook Pro, and no way to use them with the USB-C model. This adapter works exactly as needed, and you can chain adapters together if you find yourself needing to connect that legacy Firewire 400 device.

As advertised, this adaptor worked to get my Thunderbolt 2 dock connected to my new MacBook Pro. It even helped transfer files from my old laptop too!
