    I did not want to buy this but Apple made it one of these must have devices to use the new Mac so all I can say is it does the trick. It works as expected and has a price to match Apple.

    Converts Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3. Works exactly how it should. I use it connect Thunderbolt Display to MacBook Pro 16" and works great - video and all ports on the Thunderbolt Display function using this adapter.

    It works! I’ve tried 3rd party brands that cost less and they often don’t work 100%. Yes Apple cables seem overpriced but they work every time.

    I needed this as a connection from my older laCie rugged drive that had older firewire. I connected this to the old adapter and they worked fine together

    got the new mac mini but it doesnt have thunderbolt 2 on it anymore to work with my interface... so this is exactly what i need to make it it work. love it!
