It works as intended on my newer MacBook pro without any issue. My thunderbolt enclosure and thunderbolt audio device both function perfectly.

The old Apply display is amazing but lacks HDMI and VGA. So this handy accessory was a life-saver, else would have had to use a cr@ppy Dell monitor at work. Works exactly as expected. Pretty much plug it in and forget that it exists as a bridge from a USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) to Thunderbolt 2. You can also use the USB 2 ports on the Apple monitor to plug in USB 2 devices like hard disks. So overall, a great handy accessory if you want to use an Apple monitor with a new 2016 edition MacBook.

Works for Apple Thunderbolt 2 display
