losing connection

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe its my computer or my nas drive running thunderbolt 3, but for some reason this adapter loses thunderbolt 3 connection between my 27" iMac with thunderbolt 2 port and my qnap thunderbolt 3 nas device every time the iMac goes to sleep.
