Bought this for gigabit connectivity to a Mac Book Air. Excellent speed. Very compact to carry around.

Interesting little device if you need to connect to ethernet, or if you want higher speed internet than Wlan. Currently not in use anymore as WLAN is more and more available.

I use this to connect my MacBook Pro when I need super fast Gigabit Networking to back up or transfer files. This works as designed.. just plug it into your macbook, plug into your switch or router, and you're on the network at full speed. No driver installation is required, and it leaves your USB ports free. If you're using your Thunderbolt ports for some other purpose such as video, you probably don't want this dongle.

Yet another $20-30 dongle for my MacBook, that most of the time will sit in my drawer, but when I need a wired network connection (and I do on occasion when I'm configuring/testing networking gear), this works perfectly. I tried several other USB/Ethernet adapters that I had on hand, and none of them worked as others on the web suggested they might. And the one thing you get on this that you won't on most USB adapters is true Gig speeds.

Easy as can be. I just plugged it in and my Mac detected and configured it for me. No issues whatsoever...

I am able to connect to my schools LAN with no issues. Is easy to connect and use.

This was purchased because I needed to do a Skype interview for a Food Network show and my router has been spotty. I have 2 routers and both can be unreliable so a wired connection to my Macbook Air was necessary. I was really excited to find that an adapter existed to make this possible and the interview went on without a hitch. Money well spent.

It just works - connected to Macbook Pro and have immediate connection without any configuration.
