Q: will this work with mac book pro 2019
A: No, unless you purchase another adapter. You have "Thunderbolt 3" ports on your notebook. This adapter works with "Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2" ports. The size and shape of these ports are different (see attached pictures).
A: No- your 2016 MacBook Pro uses Thunderbolt3 - The adapter from Apple is for Thunderbolt 1 and 2 devices - They are not compatible without a second adapter to step the TB2 port down to Type-C/Thunderbolt3 - You're better off with third party Type-C to Ethernet adapters. Apple never made one. Belkin makes a good one available here on BestBuy.com
A: Yes, this will increase speeds greatly. Comcast speed was 50mps without it & 175mps with it for me.

A: I use it with my Windows 10 system- no problem
Q: Will this work on my 2011 MacBook Pro?
A: As long as you have a thunderbolt port on your machine, this will work. One warning, in my experience, they seem like a passive device, but they do fail/slow down after a couple of years. I have several MacBooks and periodically (2 years) have to change these out.
