Did not connect or find the network. There should have been instructions or the iOS should have provided guidance on how to setup. Returned it and got a USB network adapter - worked no problem.

Installed on my Mac and it showed connected but would freeze up when trying to load Internet site. Tried several things to resolve with no luck. Bought UBS to Ethernet and it worked fine.

I got this for my son's school MacBook Air. I could not this adapter to show up on any of my other devices.

If using it as an external drive, go with something else. It transfers files very slowly, literally hours to download a few Gigs.

Does not work unless you have a 2011 or newer mac. There is nothing older Macs can do except try the USB version. Or just use wifi.

My daughter set her laptop down wrong and it bent and wont work anymore, pretty fragile if you ask me.

Plugged it in and it worked. Didn't have to go hunting for drivers or configure anything. Just plug and play like it should. Quality seems to be good, doesn't seem like it'll fall apart anytime soon. I use it for the odd ball situation when I'm somewhere that isn't with the 21st century and doesn't have Wi-Fi broadcasting. One thing I can complain about is that it does not have link lights. Not a huge deal, but helpful for troubleshooting if you're having issues getting connected to a network. It would at least tell you if you're hooked into a live jack, but maybe a server isn't giving you an address on the network. It is a bit pricy, but so is everything else Apple. As long as it lasts the life of the laptop, I won't complain too much.

It's a dongle because you need dongles for Apple stuff

I asked one of the sales associates to get me one. He gave me a refurbished item which I wouldnt have bought if Id known. Only realized it when I got home. So I got a non working item which I probably cant return.

Works as advertised hooks up seemlessly to my laptop and ethernet cable at other end without lag

The Apple Thunderbolt to Ethernet Adapter works as advertised. I used it to plug the ethernet cable into a 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display. It hooked up to the internet immediately and I've had no problems. I'm not sure why the new MacBooks don't have ethernet ports, but I still like them anyway. This is any easy fix for when I need to use an ethernet instead of Wireless Internet.

This produce is great. All you need to do to make it work is plug it into your laptop and off you go. No extra setup needed and the performance is great. Better than most USB-to-ethernet devices that I've used in the past.

I travel a lot, and find that some hotels don't have WiFi but have wired Internet instead. This makes it easy to connect to the wired internet with a fast connection.
