I recently upgraded to 1 gig internet and wanted to see if i was actually getting the speeds i was paying for, Needless to say this adapter is actually 1 gig capable and i am getting my speeds.

I use this cable at work to access the shared drive in the office. The cable works great with the exception that from time to time, and for no apparent reason I will loose a folder. However, it will re appear if I unplug and replug. It definitely does the job and is work it to use my MAC at work.

I purchased this at Best Buy after reading several reviews of offbrand adapters. The offbrand adapters did not get very good reviews. The reviews for the genuine Apple adapter were very good. So far it works very well.

I am a mac newbie. Using for backups via ethernet using Time Machine on 2015 Macbook Pro under El Capitan and on same machine under Windows 10/Bootcamp. I just plugged it in and used it, no setup required.

This works as expected. No issues with the MacBook Air recognizing the connection and providing internet access. It's super fast connection allowed me to download the Intertubez onto my SSD in lighting fast speeds.

I bought this product after getting a generic adapter that did not work even after uploading the software and looking online for instructions. Purchasing this apple product was worth the extra money since it was hassle-free.

Best to get genuine Apple products as they are the most reliable. Don't worry about the connecting dropping or Mac not detecting the network adapter. Sure you can find cheaper alternatives, but save yourself the headache of dropped connections and just get something reliable.

I plugged this into my MacBook Pro and a GigE switch, and it work great. very fast connection...transfers between this MacBook Pro and other PCs connected to this switch are very fast.

Every year, Apple makes decisions in a "we know what's best for you" approach. First, they solder the RAM onto their Macbook motherboards. Then they eliminate the need for a SuperDrive and Ethernet connection (as if to say "BUT, you have a Retina display!"). I may not be the most tech savvy person in the world, but I know that wired connection is always more reliable (and at times, faster) than Wifi. Why I have to spend another $30 for a dongle after shelling out $1500+ on a Macbook Pro w/Retina display is unfortunate. Apple makes premium built products, but throughout my experience with this company, the wires, chargers, and dongles are fragile and are not very durable at all. This should have come with the laptops that didn't have an Ethernet port built in.

Another overpriced accessory from apple that they force you to buy. Bought to transfer old computer to new one. It's lightening fast. Did the job 42 hours faster than without it

I travel a lot, and find that some hotels don't have WiFi but have wired Internet instead. This makes it easy to connect to the wired internet with a fast connection.

Very sharp and key delivery on speed. Functions at highest potential and does not hold me back from accomplishing what I need to do.

Worked great. Easy to plug in and use. Had to buy one to use to transfer files to my new wireless external hard drive from my old wired one.

I use this to connect my Mac to the internet at my office when the WiFi is shaky. Works great.

This is a very handy accessory that's small enough to slide into any small case. it allows confidential examination of the Ethernet networks.

Wanted to get better speed from my router to the mac than via wifi, so went for the ethernet connection. Works great.

This adapter works exactly like it's supposed to. Just plug in your ethernet cable and then plug it into your thunderbolt port. It does not require any set up. It starts working with my mac immediately. My only complaint is that it is difficult to remove the ethernet cable from the adapter. You have to really use some force to remove it. So I just leave the adapter on the ethernet cable all time at home. My internet is faster when I plug in directly to the router than using wifi.

Thunderbolt is an excellent and smaller connector. The faster speed and multiple uses of the connector is an added bonus.

Does the job, not much to say about it. The price is a bit much but it's an apple product what can you say
