Although I hated having to buy something that comes on most PC's, the fact that I only bought a Mac Book Air sent me in the direction to purchase this. Well worth the money, and another toy in my bag of goodies... Overall, can't complain.

There's really not a lot to say about the adapter except of course to rave about the simple elegance of Apple's design team, and the subtle way they designed it with a plug on one end and a socket on the other ;-)

This is a must when you need some connections. The cable is reliable and still in working condition.

Bought this for my daughter at college so she could directly connect her laptop to the LAN since wireless service is not very good in the dorm rooms. Worked great!

You pay a fair yet higher price and you get an apple product that delivers; it looks slick too (as slick as a computer adapter could if thats a factor for you).

It does what it is supposed to do, so I am happy with the purchase.

This is the optimal way to add Gigabit networking to any laptop. I wish I could get one of these to work with my Windows Laptop!

I like to have the ability to hardwire my computer while at home, this way I never have to put up with slow connections again. I do with it had a way to secure it to the port so it didn't pull out so easily.

If you find yourself somewhere that doesn't have wireless internet, this will work great.

If you need a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter, this is the one to buy 100%.

Of course, this was necessary to connect my Mac to an ethernet. Got the job done despite how annoying it is.

I am not happy with this adapter. Getting my latest macbook pro to recognize ethernet connection is a cumbersome process. I have to keep readjusting / plugging-in/out to ensure ethernet is detected. I know my ethernet cable is in good condition. I thought getting an apple product is the safest bet but I am disappointed with this purchase.

I have a 2017 MacBook air I would like to run my alcie external hard drive with all music through thunderbolt is this the right one to purchase?

I was not impressed with this adapter. It was very slow to connect and I did not get any better connection being hard wired to the router than being connected wirelessly. I would only use this if there is no wireless available.

Completely useless - the "Thunderbolt" side is a non-standard shape and not the USB-C compatible shape that I ordered this for, so it's a waste of money. I feel duped that the shape wasn't clearly noted in the product description

This product is MISLEADING. Best Buy needs to fix this product's description. It appears as Type C when you type in the research bar and it is definitely not what you need if you have a Macbook 2019 and on with TYPE C connections.
