Granted, this product is nice but I'd advise anyone to think twice about their needs before purchasing. I realized after I got it that a MacBook Air can only take one thunderbolt adapter. And the reason I usually need an adapter is because I'm at a conference podium where the wifi isn't usable. You can't use both this and a display port adapter at the same time so I had to also get a USB adapter. This adapter is super fast so I plan to keep it for any time I need to do big transfers. But definitely consider your needs a bit more carefully than I did.

I prefer to have my MacBook on wifi for ease of mobility. However I recently needed to update some photography gear firmware that required an ethernet connection to the equipment. This worked like a charm and also provided faster internet speeds while using.

Easy hook-up, no brainer, can not use cat5 without it. Works as advertised.

Adapter works well for connecting an ethernet cable to the Mac. Quality is just as good as the Apple version. Only caveat, connect the adapter and ethernet cable before booting into Windows with Bootcamp. Otherwise, the driver isn't loaded and you won't get a connection. Not sure if it's been fixed in any recent updates, have had it for a few months now.

This is a must especially for mcabook back ups. I was originally using the basic Ethernet connection to myairportans it would take all night to back up. Once I got this it now takes an hour or so. Wish I would have purchased this earlier.

Perfect addition to your iPad or Mac. This little guy comes in handy for those of us with IPads without cellular features, and you have no wifi only ethernet.

Avb is oddly hard to use on the thunderbolt 3+ Macs. Most Ethernet dongles use the usb brotocol, and this + the thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 allows me to utilize the AVB protocol on the thunderbolt chip on my m2 mac
