bought my Mac air and I needed this part to connect my internet. great service with apple reps

Needed to connect a Macbook pro to our home network. Typical Apple product - Works well and is high quality. It comes at a high price too.

This along with an ethernet cable allowed me to transfer everything from my 90 year old mother's MacBook Pro to her new Air. We didnt have to worry about what was on the old laptop, leave them for a few days to have it done or pay the $100 charge. I worked effortlessly and fast.

Does just what I thought it would. Good to have, just in case its needed. I had some confusion when I loaded a software program and the geeks helped me out. No more trouble, but I feel safer knowing I can connect directly to the wifi network with this device. Not expensive and gives me peace of mind.

Great for mine but when I bought it I was actually looking at which MacBook to buy as the new one had just come out. I opted for the older version. This thunderbolt fits right into the computer without having to buy any additional pieces.

Especially for Macbook Air users, I highly recommend having one of these little guys. If you ever cannot access the Internet, it's a quick way to confirm whether or not your are just having WiFi issues. Also, for data intensive uploads or downloads in areas of sketchy WiFi, it's a great tool to have.

The connector allows the macbook to connect to the network w/ an Ethernet cable. Working as expected.

This item was very useful for a hardwire set up for internet when I need to go online and don't want to risk the WiFi dropping. It is a bit pricey compared to what I wanted to spend but I haven't had any problems with it so far, so I'm overall happy with this item.

Works as intended. For a college student moving from room to room when wi-fi isn’t available, this is a must. Works flawlessly when hooking up to the internet. Great item!!

Great adapter. Gives full gigabit speed! Works as expected as long as you make sure what you are connecting this to uses the proper thunderbolt plug. Does not connect to usb c.

i had another LAN adapter and was giving me hard time. i bought this adaptor and took 120GB backup on network drive in shortest time possible. just make sure using cat 5e or cat 6 cable and you'll experience a great speed. as usual great Apple quality product

Worked as promised. I buy Apple accessories when I can because they work. I don't personally like Apple computers but, I have one for work. This accessory works gread!

Purchased to connect my MBP directly to the router and not through wifi and have not noticed any connection issues. I have previously used similar ethernet to USB connectors for a PC and this connection seems to provide greater speed throughput and more consistent connectivity.

While wireless is great in airports, having a wire connection in an hotel room is so much faster. The Thunderbolt-to-Gigabit Ethernet Adapter has come in handy on some many occasions while traveling. The cost of this adapter was money well spent. I recommend this adapter for all MacBook Pro owners.

Had to get this accessory as my new MacBook doesn't have an ethernet port on-board. I wasn't happy about it, but had no choice for instances when WiFi is not fast enough. It works fine and is reasonable small although I wished it were even smaller considering that other machines have ethernet built-in.

Needed to connect my laptop to my system to transfer large photo files to my external hard drive. I live in the mountains and have good but not great wifi. It was taking awhile to transfer, now it takes no time at all.

Wasn't happy to spend over $30 on this adapter but glad I did. upgraded my internet and decided to ditch the intermittent wifi connection issues. Now I get super-fast speeds on my macbook. Great investment.

The adapter is perfect to solve the problem of no network port on the MacBook Pro. Typical great Apple styling and performance. Typical Apple pricing but not a deal breaker. It's reassuring to know that it's made by the same company ensuring that it will work as expected.

Used this to connect my MacBook Pro directly to an gigabit Ethernet network. Works well, although sometimes the connection drops overnight, even when the laptop is not sleeping. Wish Apple would include Ethernet ports, as wifi is not always fast enough for some uses.
