bought this open item, best buy shipped it fast as usual, works like a charm on my macbook pro retina that does not have a built in ethernet port. Would recommend this to others.

It works exactly as it should. Easy to connect and small enough to fit in your bag without taking up too much room.

I bought this to move data from a WINDOWS PC to my Macbook. Simple installation, and very fast communication between PC and Mac compared to trying to do the transfer over my wireless network.

I desperately needed ethernet service as I work primarily online and do a lot of video conferencing. My wifi wasn't keeping up and it was time to upgrade as I start a new business. The first ethernet connector I got would not connect and bring the speed to my laptop. I went to the Geek Squad and this was recommended. I haven't had a problem since, and the quality of the video conferences is much, much, much, much better! I now come across in conferences as the professional I know myself to be.

Adapter plugs right in and works right away. Nothing to configure or setup. No issue with the adapter.

The speed of internet access is extremely fast. It seems no difference when compared to wifi connection but the difference becomes obvious when we play online games.

Thankfully the salesperson realized I needed this accessory when I bought my new MacBook Pro, as I mentioned having hard-wired Internet at the office. Just plug it in and use! Easy!

Wireless is always unreliable ... if you are doing a big file transfer you want this accessory. Should come with every Mac!

Not much to say about this. If you need faster speeds than what you can get from wireless, this is exactly what you want. Great for bulk uploads and downloads from a NAS.
