It's an adapter that gives me an Ethernet port (Gigabit, no less) on my very thin Retina MacBook Pro, using the Thunderbolt port. It does what it says it does, and it works with no effort on my part. Other than not being included with the MacBook itself, I have no complaints.

I bought this to be able to hardwire my ethernet to my new 2014 Macbook Pro w/Retina. I was bummed that the computer after costing over 3K did not come with this cable (it should have for the money spent) but I purchased it in case I would need to hardwire for some reason.

Pretty simple on this review. It's meant to be an adaptor for an ethernet cord and it's exactly that. Worked great with my MacBook Pro. No connection issues & solved a major issue that I was having. Solid product.

If you have a new MacBook or MacBook Pro and need a hard-line connection for Internet this works great. This was used for Internet connection versus cell phone Internet on a very busy night for cell phone activity where Internet would be slowed down

Love my Apple Ethernet Adapter! Fits perfect on my MacBook Pro! Sure does come in handy when I need to trouble shoot my modem when it's acting up! This accessory is worth buying. Or if you just want to hard wire your MacBook Pro instead of using the wifi!

Upgraded to gigabit internet speeds and needed this for my MacBook Pro. When hard wired connected from my router I get true gigabit speeds! It's awesome and works exactly as intended.

I purchased this for my daughter's MacBook Pro to use in her college dorm room. The wifi was overloaded with everyone doing online classes so she was able to get internet access using this.

This works great. Haven't had any issues with it. Much faster than the USB adapter. Make sure you are using at least Cat 5e cables and a gigabit router or you won't see the speeds.

Nothing much to say about this device here except that it works great and does what it is intended to do!

I had trouble with my WiFi and I had to hardwire the company MacBook Pro into the modem. This worked as it should, which is why I normally pay the extra money for genuine Apple accessories.

WiFi is convenient and all, but its bandwidth can't compare to wired. I had all kinds of lag issues with teleconferencing from home, so I bought the adapter and connected my MBP to my router. Instant crystal-clear multiperson teleconferencing.

I needed this to image a MBP over wired connection as wireless is not an option. I did use this to transfer some files from laptop to desktop and hit transfer rate of over 100MB/s. Moved GBs of data in seconds. Works as intended!

We were in LA for 3 weeks on business The WiFi at our AirBnB was really bad but with the help of this adapter we were able to connect directly with an ethernet cable to the router-modem and get online. It did what it's supposed to do.

I thought it might not work when I got it because it was returned to the store and it was in an open box. But it works well and I use it every time I need to use an ethernet cable.

This adapter has been in daily use since I bought it a year ago to play DotA 2 on my Macbook Pro. It has given me a seamless internet connection and hasn't malfunctioned since I bought it. Good and trustworthy product.
