Apple - thunderbolt-toGigabit Ethernet adapter White. What can you say...You have to have it. They work.

I bought this thinking it would help me link my MacBook and Mac Mini which it does, but not quite in the way I envisioned. Which is no reflection on the product, just my lack of knowledge with setting up a home network. The product is great, it combines Ethernet with thunderbolt allowing you to connect devices that don't offer a thunderbolt connection. How I used it: I was saving a [large media] file from my MacBook Pro to an external hard drive connected to a Mac Mini in a different room. Wirelessly, it was going to take two hours to complete, so I walked into the other room connected the Mac mini to my MBP with this adapter and the download was done in minutes. I know I could have connected thunderbolt to thunderbolt, but I don't own one of those cables because I don't have many devices that offer a thunderbolt connection while in contrast, just about everything offers Ethernet so I figured I'd get more use and versatility with this Adapter.

Just as the summary reads, this accessory should be included, but still an awesome product for when the WIFI goes out and all I have is a wired connection.

Since apple decided that everything needs to be wifi, we've had to buy these to save us pulling our hair out when re-imaging laptops. Great little dongle

Kind of a dummy-proof product. Simple design, easy to use and critical for establishing ethernet connection to Macbook.

Now that Apple is scaling back on ports with the new laptops I had to buy this because you never know when you will need it when at an area without wireless and only ethernet.

Needed this to run different displays on a new Mac. This was just what we needed.

I have had not issues with this thunder to Ethernet converter. I am convinced I have better speeds than my coworkers. I would recommend to a friend.

I like to use this Ethernet adapter when I'm downloading large files. It is very fast depending on your router speeds. I believe it's worth the cost.

I am one for hardwire over wireless when transferring massive files. I will say Apple MacBook Pros do a great job of keeping a connection wirelessly, but when not losing a connection for a massive file I recommend hardwiring. This adapter does amazing, and can handle 10 gbps Ethernet. I highly recommend this for that, and to terminal in to switches.

I needed to do some heavy downloading and thought it would be faster to use an Ethernet connection than wireless. This came in handy. Highly suggested.

this connector is the only option you have for hooking a MacBook to a hard wired network. So it is great to have if you work and travel with your computer a lot.

Does what I needed it to do and is up to par with apples quality. Overpriced though.

Works great, highly recommended for MacBook Pro users. It's rare that I need to connect to an Ethernet cable, but when I do, this is the perfect solution.

I purchased this item as an open-box item. It does exactly what I expected it to do. My MacBook Pro Retina moves so much faster when browsing the Internet.

I expected a bottleneck on speed using this device. I needn't have worried as it was as fast as a connection without the device. Highly recommended.

This is great it allows my MacBook to be hardwired and the speed is just great when it’s hardwired.
