This Thunderbolt-to-Gigabit ethernet adapter is very reliable when it comes to a direct wired connection needs. I use it all the time whenever I stream movies (Macbook Pro to TV connection).

We use this adapter when at the office. The Wi-Fi isn't always reliable nor is Wi-Fi ever faster than gigabit Ethernet. This adapter can make all the difference in the world.

This product works exactly as expected, although I’m not sure it carries a signal any faster than the weak wifi signal I was using this product to bypass. If I hadn’t gotten this as an open box discount, I don’t think I could justify the price, other than just to have as a backup in case wifi isn’t available.

Purchased this to connect my new 2015 MacBook Pro to the ethernet network at home when not using wireless. I also throw it in the bag when traveling in case I need that type of connectivity.

Worked like a charm to ensure I did not lose connection for a very important online event. Can’t trust wireless on some days.

Slight learning curve. Had to get used to Apple OSX, but once I did, I will "never" go back to a PC. Now that my Macbook Pro is solid state & works with Word, Excel & Powerpoint, it is the better machine...BY FAR.

Works as advertised. Now if they can just make an attachments for my car with separate thunderbolt and audio instead of using inferior Belken!

Popped it on an Ethernet cable, plugged it into my laptop and now I have a wired internet connection. That makes me feel a little safer than using a wireless connection.

Apple has made this easy to connect and disconnect. I always carry it with me, it fits in a side pocket of my bag. You never know when you might need to plug an Ethernet cord into your mac.

Even though the Mac book has no problem connecting wireless with the network this is a nice to have accessory when the router is running sluggish or when there are too many devices sharing the network.

Majority of my classes have us take our exams online and before my Ethernet adapter I lost my wifi connection during an exam!!! Do I need to say more or are you already convinced you need one?

i had been using this device at the office for some time now and it has been working without any problems. i bought another one since i needed it for use at home and i'm happy with my purchase.

I needed a method to connect directly from my router to my MacBook Pro, to the thunderbolt connection, to speed up large downloads. This connector does the trick, saving me lots of time.

Apple adapter promised as functioned to allow connection between my Mac Air Thunderbolt port and Ethernet. Glad I could easily find it at the Best Buy nearby where I am staying while traveling.

Ok, it was probably better when the MacBook Pro had an Ethernet port built in, but hey they need to make more money with selling the accessories. I found an open box item on bestbuy.com so that saved me some money. This is a great thing to have though when you have a large amount of data that you need to transfer.

I love the ease of finding the different adapters I need. This one didn't solve my problems but it had nothing to do with the adapter. The adapter worked perfectly.

With a non 802.11ac router, wireless bandwidth is limited compared to wired rates. Apple can't resist but to charge for ethernet so not the highest marks for this component because it should already be on my macbook. Apple, stop nickle and diming your customers!

Thank goodness that Apple makes this cable as I really needed one and no other brand makes them. Thanks to the Geek Squad for helping me find just what I needed.

i have a macbook 2015 with no ethernet port but i found this adapter online. no lag what so ever. i'm using this to stream on twitch.
