    This is a good unit however I returned it. The label is not clear. This does not work on modern Thunderbolt 3 macs. The last mac that can use this in the 2013 Mac Pro which already has two ethernet connections. So, only get this is if you have an older mac with the original Thunderbolt output.

    Plug it in, wait a few seconds and you are connected to ethernet thru the Firewire port. Simple, fast, works as advertised.

    No complaints, since the Mac Air Book does not come with an ethernet port and since a direct connection to router is asways faster than WiFi this adapter is a blessing.
