This adapter works great. Plugged it into the thunderbolt port on my Macbook Air and connected it to an Ethernet cable and it just worked. I didn't need to change any settings.

This is good especially when you are out of town and you don't have WiFi. Yes there are places that don't have WiFi readily available. Just make sure that you keep up with it.

This is a must have accessory for me. The wifi on the MacBook isn't 100% so I can link directly to the internet using an ethernet cable and have uninterrupted connection.

Works as described, gige connection. If your wiring is broken, it will also operate with only 4 wires at 100mbit. helpful for diagnosing bad terminations as well :)
