This is exactly what I needed to hardwire my MacBook Pro to get the updates. I really wish Mac would just have an ethernet port on the computer itself though. The price is ridiculous for such a small item.

could have saved a couple of bucks going with an off brand. However 19 vs 29 I prefer to use apple products. other then that works as expected.

Easy solution for Ethernet cables by plugging into a lightning port on the Macbooks that do not have Ethernet ports as seen in PCs. Works seamless.

Deep in my heart I know this device can't cost more than $3 to produce. Believe me, I search all over the store for an open boxed item before coughing up the full price. I have a late model 2013 MacBook Pro so I'm happy to have a few extra slots.
