    Hands down, Apple know what's it's doing. Don't get the USB stuff, just get the Apple branded Ethernet adapter.

    Thought it was stupid that Apple would omit such a vital connection on their new MACs, but that's Apple. It's just another way to get a few more dollars in accessory sales. Anyway the device works but the design is flawed. It "slips" into the Thunderbolt slot without any secure "snap". This allows it to slip out if you're not careful. I have read reviews on other forums that over time the adapter due to it's awkward length, causes the Thunderbolt slot to become loose. So if need a wired Internet connection or peer-to-peer, this is your ONLY option.
