In store pickup worked perfectly. Ordered it and picked it up an hour later. Great buy for the money. Works perfect.

I think it ingenious that Apple created another port through which peripherals can be connected. Having this Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter allowed me to free up 1 of only 2 USB ports I had. This also works on the MacBook Air (pre-2015, of course). Great investment and a must have for me.

As far as the product goes, this adapter works just fine. Buy one if you need one. But I asked someone as Best Buy specifically if this one adapter would suit my Ethernet needs and she told me yes. I directly asked, "Will I be able to directly plug an ethernet cable into this adapter and use it on my new MacBook Pro?" Again, she told me yes. She was wrong. What this adapter is — had I done the appropriate research instead of consulting Best Buy employees — is an adapter FOR the adapter that worked on the old MacBook Pros. In other words, if you had the old Thunderbolt adapter for ethernet for the old models, you need this adapter for that adapter to work. I did not have the old adapter, so now I bought this one and had no use for it until I bought the older Thunderbolt. No doubt frustrating. Hopefully someone looking to buy this reads this review and saves themselves the disappointment of not getting what they thought. Buy both if you don't already have them.

Item works as described. Highly recommended if you require Ethernet connection to the mac book air.

Wanted to have an Ethernet connection for travel/office/and speedy home access and this meets the need.

It's a gigabit capable adapter - if a WiFi connection is iffy, this allows a fast wired connection.

Does what it is expected, wish it wasn't so expensive but other than that, can't complain.

With this you are prepared to go wired! It is a great value.

This is an Apple product. It’s good. However, Best Buy fulfillment is BAD! I specifically purchased from Best Buy for the fulfillment date promised. It was immediately “delayed”, and was finally delivered the day AFTER I needed it. Price was slightly higher at Best Buy, but I justified the price with timely delivery. Best Buy FAILED.

Definitely helped speed up my Mac Book to Network connection, don't no how I lived without this before!

I cannot really rate this product because it was not compatible with my Mac. The photo is somewhat misleading. This is an older style "Thunderbolt"! ... NOT the newer "USB C" style Thunderbolt.

As an Ethernet adapter the quality craftsmanship gives it added ridgity that almost every cord lacks, as well as connectivity and standard expectations a consumer should commonly require when the circumstances happen upon ones disparity without an Ethernet port.

Using with newer machines to utilize Cat V is a must for best speed when ISP is flaky.

Using this adapter increased the internet speed on my laptop when compared to using the wifi.

Adapter works. But a little expensive for what it does. Other than that, no problems.

It’s pretty much the way to go way to go when you want faster speeds.
