Suited its purpose of having to connect a Macbook Air to a network through another product produced by Apple instead of allowing the use of a standard ethernet connection through usb like every other manufacturer. If not needed to help with issues for a school district device, I would have probably never been in the Apple part of the store.

This is a must have for anyone who has a MacBook or MacBook Pro. Throw it in your bag when you travel. You are not always guaranteed to have Wifi and may need to plug in.

A great stable product, help with the fluctuations of what WiFi can be by using a 'hard line' for my mac pro that does not have its own Cat5 plug.

An essential dongle even though you think you might not need it. For new macs, you will still need a thunderbolt to usb-c dongle

Simple plug-in but it’s necessary for direct connection to ethernet. Glad it has the short cord, not a totally solid connector.

I made a big mistake with this purchase. I needed Ethernet access for my MacBook Pro with only USB-C and similar Thunderbolt connectors. After ripping up the packaging, I realized this device was for Apple's first generation Thunderbolt. Shame on you Apple for not specifying which generation Thunderbolt your product utilizes. Now I'm out the cost of this thing and can't use it. I'll probably donate it somewhere.

This was an item needed for my daughter's school for testing. Provides great connection to the MAC and to the hardwired connection needed.

It does what I need it to do. Cable is a bit stiff. I don’t know if that means the cable will last longer or will wear down with time.

So many different adapters required. 1 adapter that allows you to connect you ipad to: ethernet, hdmi and recharge at the same time would be great

I don't see that point of having to buy a accessory when a standard cdmi connection could have been used instead of a exclusive apple port

This is my 3rd one. First one, stopped working and was replaced under warranty by Apple. Second one was fine, but gave to a client. This one seems fine, but unit is overpriced for what it is.

The Apple Ethernet Adaptor has been very useful in allowing my laptop to access the Internet directly to facilitate making changes to security issues.
