    Like other reviewers, I inadvertently purchased this thinking I was getting ethernet to Thunderbolt 3 (usb-c), not Thunderbolt 2 (which it actually is). I wish it was made clearer on the website that it's ethernet to Thunderbolt 2, especially given that this item appeared as a result of my search for "Thunderbolt 3 to Ethernet adapter." I specified Thunderbolt 3 in the search parameter, and this was still in those search results. I guess I'll be returning it.

    Just about everything needs a dongle these days. This one is just like the rest. Depending on how it hangs off of the device or how it is supported on the table, they usually wear out after awhile.
